  1. So with all the problems the Red Sox have signing Kike for $10M should have been priority #1? Like I asked before you don’t think the Red Sox could have done better than Kike for $10M?.?? I’ve heard many times on here that the Red Sox only have so much money to spend, so 1 year, or not it counts towards next years payroll.
  2. Can’t blame Dr. Pappas now.
  3. You don’t think they could of done better with $10M? Would you give JD, and Evol a raise after this year?
  4. I wasn’t against bringing Kike back, but for $10M I’m pretty sure the Red Sox could have done better.
  5. Whether Bloom is liked, or isn’t liked is not about the money.
  6. If Bloom produced better than a losing last place in the Div team you wouldn’t have to worry about that. It’s all pretty much about the present, and what have you done lately scenario. Lots of the Nation is not so patient as others.
  7. I would think it would be more pure speculation to say the the clubhouse is happy with Bloom than it would be to say the clubhouse is not happy with Bloom.
  8. I don’t think the amount of players wanting to stay, and play in Boston has Anything to do so, because of Bloom, but all to do with playing in Fenway in front of Red Sox Nation. To think they are wanting to stay, because they do, or don’t like Bloom is way out there in LF. The lure of playing in Fenway has been there for many many years, and I don’t think even Bloom could drive them away if the money is right.
  9. Why did this take so long? Seems like most of the injuries this year starting with Sale is worse off than first thought, and recovery time has taken much longer than first thought.
  10. Chang’s getting all kinds of playing time.
  11. Agree, and it is a tough call on Bogey, and Raffy. I wouldn’t go any longer than 5 yrs with Bogey, but I also understand that money is needed to fill areas of need like especially pitching. Wacha, and Paxton would be costly, and the BP needs some new arms. Tough decisions for sure, but that’s what Bloom gets the big bucks for.
  12. Small ball, and pitching the good Dodgers teams of the early 60’s, and Maury was a good one.
  13. No I was not on this site at the time of the trade, but just like it will be up to Henry if Bogey, and Raffy are signed, and if not I’ll blame Henry for that too, and not Bloom. I have been on Bloom a lot, but not for not resigning Mookie, and if it happens Bogey, and, or Raffy.
  14. Pat em on the back when they do good, and what have you done for me lately, and kick in the ass when things go bad is kind of the way it goes especially in Boston. I think Bloom has found out he’s not in Kansas (Tampa) anymore.
  15. I’m not doubting that someone did blame Bloom, but you said many have blamed Bloom for trading Betts, and I don’t believe that is the case.
  16. Story has looked good at 2B, but let’s remember he won’t be playing in short RF next year whether that matters, or not on where he should play next year.
  17. I guess it depends on who you talk to. Most on here are in his corner, and has been since the day he was hired. Speaking for myself I didn’t like the hire from day 1. Having a losing record, and looking like a last place Div finish should not shouldn’t present any kind of enthusiasm, or trust. I don’t think Tampa has missed him at all nor would lots of Red Sox Nation if he were fired today. On here it would be a different story.
  18. Oh no complain! No one on here knows for sure who, and from where were offered for Mookie. Many blamed Bloom for not finding a way to keep Mookie? First I heard of that. Yes me, and others have complained about the return for Mookie. Nothing wrong with that, and I guess at the moment it depends on Wong turning out to be a productive C on if the trade looks better than it first did.
  19. The Red Sox got rid of the Babe, and to a lesser extent Mookie, and the Pats let Brady walk out of town. It doesn’t get much bigger than that.
  20. Not for making the trade at all, but what he got back in return. I have never blamed Bloom for the trade.
  21. The Devers situation doesn’t have to be decided now, but how much money being tied up for years down the road I would think would have to be known in signings of other players for more than a year. Also if he can’t be signed now then trade him. Play ball!
  22. Like I’ve said all along, but Bogey, and the Raffy situations have to be decided first before anything else can get done. As for the rest of the season I’ve seen enough out of everybody except just to see Bello develop more, and also Casas.
  23. Henry has always gotten the blame for Mookie leaving town along with Mookie himself.
  24. Not quite. Brady is still playing, and the wife doesn’t want him to.
  25. Agree, and I don’t think Cora is much into ass kicking.
