  1. DD has gotten all the blame for the Sale contract, and there is, or wasn’t anything that Bloom could do about it.
  2. I think that they lose at NC this week, and if Pyne doesn’t play well I agree to start bringing the Freshman along. No I don’t believe Buchner is the answer either. Big problem too is that the O Line, and the WR aren’t up to the usually strong ND standards.
  3. Playoffs? Did someone say playoffs? Yes sir! Playoffs start in Portland tonight.
  4. And coddled.
  5. I’m just ready for this season to end, and get to the off season, and see how things shake out.
  6. I think it’s more like the wife didn’t want to live near dumpy Foxboro anymore.
  7. No they probably wouldn’t have, but I don’t think the Pats would have been as competitive either the last two years if Brady would have stayed in Boston.
  8. Probably so, but for the record I don’t frequent the talk shows much anymore. The Red Sox are pretty much on the back burner these days, and it’s mostly Pats talk.
  9. I think Brady got way to much credit for the Bucs winning his first year there. True they needed a good QB, which he still was, but the Bucs were loaded on offense, and added more to it, and the D was pretty good too.
  10. I can’t speak for anyone else, but my opinion of Bloom had nothing to do with Sports talk radio.
  11. When you run Brady out of town you’d better keep on winning, because the Pats fans got spoiled for all those SB appearances.
  12. Agree, but the original comment was going all in from 2016-2018. The two you mentioned were very questionable, and did take up $40M of payroll.
  13. Bill brings a lot of that on himself for his eloquent press conferences.
  14. Exactly! Going All In at any time had nothing to do with this year. Signing Sale to that extension especially since he still had a year left on his contract was mismanagement at its best. Going all in so called from 2016-2018 had nothing to do with all the injuries this year, or the less than stellar performances from so many players this year.
  15. I guess it depends on if you think clubhouses chemistry means anything, or not. Sometimes just changing the manager can make a big difference. Remember Morgan magic? And wast it in 78 that the Yankees went to Bob Lemon, and the Yankees took off on a big winning streak?
  16. Actually they have been after Bill for two years now. He gets blamed for Brady leaving town, and the team being not as good. A 20 year run, and 1 losing season is all it takes. Of course Bill didn’t major in public relations either, and makes it harder on himself with the media.
  17. Now why would the Boston media don’t like Bloom?
  18. 16 games left in the season. 4 games from 500 5 games back from the O’s, and from sitting at the kiddie table, and a last place finish in the Div.
  19. I think being a leader on the field, and a leader in the clubhouse are two different things, and don’t necessarily lead to the same results.
  20. You can be a good clubhouse leader, but that doesn’t mean that results will carry over to the playing field. I think you could win a championship, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you are a good clubhouse leader, and you could be a good clubhouse leader, but on a last place team. I don’t think results on the field automatically carry over to the clubhouse, and vice versa, so if you are saying the club has a losing record this year, because the clubhouse leaders are bad, and the team needs new ones the you could say the same thing about the manager could you not?
  21. This coming year will be the big tell on the spending starting with Bogey, and Raffy.
  22. Ahh judging the old John Henry to think he will follow past ways.
  23. Not necessarily none of the above.
  24. JBJ was well liked, and there wasn’t a big uproar when he left except for why he was traded for in the first place.
  25. It’s all part of the equation. Like I said earlier go, and ask any player in any team sports if clubhouse chemistry matters, and I think most would say yes.
