  1. Were the Yankees, and Toronto better last year when they are this year?? Could that possibly be why the Red Sox had a bad Div record last year, and, because those two teams aren’t as good this year the Red Sox have a lot better record not only against them, but a better record overall? That’s all I’m saying. As usual it’s been a privilege to be on the same stage with you. How about a Tom Werner chant. Lets go Red Sox.
  2. You can have it both ways. They did lose, because they played better teams last year. Toronto, and the Yankees were a lot better last year. Disagree if you want. Now if Toronto, and the Yankees aren’t as good this year especially the Yankees then you have a lot better chance to beat them, which they have, so if you want to call it both ways then so be it. The league is more balanced this year that we agree on, but why is where we don’t. As always it’s been a pleasure to have a discussion.
  3. I agree teams had flaws last year too, but not as bad as this year. I don’t believe the Yankees, or Toronto are nowhere near as good this year, and Tampa is nowhere as good as they were early in the season. A wildcard spot is there for the taking now.
  4. To me the Kut Man deserves to stay in the rotation, and Houck should go to the BP.
  5. Who said winning record does not count. I’ll answer it for you. Nobody.. I just said it is not always a barometer of how good someone is. Nice try though.
  6. A winning record is what counts the most, but like I said is doesn’t always equate to how good you are. It’s like Baltimore this year. Are they really better, or have the teams that were ahead of them last year not as good this year.
  7. Winning records do not always equate to being good, and while Tex, and Houston improved I don’t think they are juggernauts.
  8. Wow! First Kike, and now Arroyo gone how low can you go? Beat out by the likes of Chang, and Reyes.
  9. Deciding on what level of the farm system to send him
  10. Expanding on that I think the Red Sox are a better team this year compared to last year, and not because of better players, but, because the teams ahead of them are not as good as last, which makes them better. Like Moon said all the teams are flawed.
  11. Wrong 100%. They are in a better position right now to get into the last WC than they were last year. Getting a low level prospect would not be helping them now. Try to keep up to date, and keep up. You’re getting heavy pulling you along. 2023 is all that should matter right now. At least it is for some.
  12. I answered that yesterday. It depends who it’s from.
  13. I don’t agree with what Bloom does often, but not doing any sell offs the last 2 years I agree 100%. Those who didn’t got f d.
  14. They did to the ones that wanted it to happen. Hilarious! lMAO.
  15. I don’t believe anyone said they did just like yesterday when someone was trying to say Bloom did not make all the decisions. Why would you possibly want to make the Red Sox better, and up already top ticket prices to watch?
  16. Raffy said the Red Sox needed pitching, and I’m sure other players, and Cora felt that way as well. The loser attitude was not getting any. Sale, Houck, and Whit may be coming back, but time is of the essence, and was needed sooner than later.
  17. For the 100th time since last year Bogey had a NO trade, and wasn’t going anywhere. Saying he wouldn’t be traded was just for show as they couldn’t anyway.
  18. Like I said time will tell.
  19. So the only reason you want to hold on to him is for a QO?? How about hanging on to him to help the Red Sox to get into the postseason? Trading Paxton this year when the Red Sox need pitching would be giving up on the rest of this year.
  20. And give up one of their precious prospects?
  21. Yes I did, and shipped back to Worcester too. Like I said he’s gotten better, and if he finishes strong I’ll say I was wrong. He still has a way to go to live up to all his hype, but time will tell.
  22. There is a more overwhelming opinion to sell than go for it, and has been for two years now. That’s a fact.
  23. I’ll admit he’s gotten better, but he pretty much didn’t have much more lower to go. We’ll see how he finishes out the year, but I’m not ready to give him an Atlanta Braves type contract yet.
  24. I know sell is the overwhelming opinion on here, but get out of this little corner, and I just don’t hear that anywhere else. If truth be told I bet Cora, and the players are pissed that no help was added although probably relieved that no one was traded from the parent team.
  25. Oh no say it ain’t so calling Kike a Bum. I know Kike was roasted, and toasted on the game threads, but even I never thought any such thing. My pushback on Kike was always against those who thought he was better than he was, so I guess that made me a hater to some.
