  1. Sensitive might be to strong a word on here.
  2. Exactly. NG in Florida did the same thing just recently.
  3. He shored up the BP in Boston though.
  4. I suppose that JH getting Boo’d all the time must be to strong of a reaction too.🙈
  5. It makes some feel better about JH to say Ben was just demoted, and then walked out on his own. Same results. Poor JH that volatility is to strong a word.
  6. I wouldn’t blame DD for not wanting Sam in a lot of meetings. DD has probably forgotten more about baseball than Sam will ever know.
  7. It wasn’t a straight out firing, but DD was put in charge of him. He could have stayed, but in a diminished role, so call it what you want.
  8. It’s not a myth at all on why Ben left.
  9. Wouldn’t most people be shocked after getting fired after being in charge of 4 winning seasons, and a WS title to boot?
  10. A big difference too is that LL used to run the Red Sox, but now I don’t know who JH gets his main advice from. Sam?
  11. Now there is probably more truth in that than not. DD has a lot of respect in MLB built up through his many years.
  12. Being there for 20+ seasons probably had something to do with it too.
  13. I guess they could have kept Bloom around since they have to pay him, and had him be in charge of picking up the trash in Fenway after games, which at least was something he was good at.
  14. Wow! Comparing Ben to Tricky Dick.
  15. The big difference is DD had 4 winning seasons, and a WS title.
  16. Did he have somewhere else to go? He’s gotten a different job title, but does he actually have a different job? He wasn’t the head guy either, so there is a number of possibilities on why he didn’t leave.
  17. JH didn’t fire Ben, but bringing in DD I think JH pretty much knew that Ben would leave, so while not in actuality Ben was fired, but by bringing in DD brought the same results. Agree on Larry.
  18. Kowloons used to be the hangout place according to Eddie Andleman back in the day.
  19. I think two of the most reliable sources now are Jen, and Stats.
  20. Tomase is the only one who’s around the Red Sox much on a regular basis of the 4. I don’t put much stock of anything into what Felger, and Mazz say anyway, and Shaugnessy is an old dog who has been around for a long time, so if you are going to these guys for accuracy I would look elsewhere. You have to know on who is more in tune, and accurate to begin with. Honest? You mean the Sam The Sham, and co?
  21. It’s even slow in getting a pitching, and 3B coach.
  22. I don’t care who likes BTV either. I have never tried to discredit analytics one time. What I have ALWAYS said is that I don’t need analytics, so f that’s what you call discrediting then I’m guilty. On the other hand more than one on here has tried with no success to discredit me of only needing the old times stats, and the good old eye test. That’s a fact. Another thing that cracks me up is how you guys go off every time Felger, and Mazz, Tomase, or Shaugnessy is mentioned like you know more than they do. If all of them read some of what you guys put out on here they most likely would go off on you guys too.
  23. Tom, and Sam said it’s just a perception, and a narrative that there has been a lot of turnover at the top of baseball ops the last ten years, and there were lot of candidates that contacted the Red Sox this year that people didn’t hear about despite the 12 who wouldn’t even talk to the Sox including an in-house employee. Spinning, and grinning at its best.
