  1. Whitlock-Martin-Jansen a great way to close out a game.
  2. Story Land is open for business today.
  3. Keep him in the BP where he belongs.
  4. I don’t know if the starters are good enough even if the stay healthy for two more months, but getting Whitlock, and Houck back in the BP where I’ve said they both belong for two years now, will give the BP better length, and depth.
  5. Let’s see where his stats end up, and how he does these last two months during a postseason push.
  6. Talksox is just one small part, and a very small sample size, which makes up RSN. I talk face to face pretty much everyday with more people at the bowling alley, or PF that are regulars on here. Not all are Red Sox fans either, so you get a lot more variety of opinions. Plus all the other venues I visit on a regular basis, so talksox is my little corner of the world too. It’s never been where you live.
  7. Agree that Yoshida is not close to the ball player that Ichiro was. Masa may have more power, but that’s about it.
  8. Let’s see how he ends up, but he does have long stretches where he hits ping pong balls to the infield.
  9. That corner is talksox only, and that’s where the 1% would come in.
  10. I don’t think I ever said 99%. Maybe 99% of the venues I frequent.
  11. The lack of hitting is all on the players, and if anyone gets ripped it should be them.
  12. Good to see JT back in the lineup again today, but outside of him being in it does it really matter what the rest of the lineup looks like these days?
  13. Well you’ve seen more anyway.
  14. Good to see JT back in the lineup today. Dugy also leading off where he’s done his best hitting this year.
  15. Having to use two openers against Toronto was just wrong to me. You’ve been a Red Sox fan longer than me, so I’ll concede you know more than I do.
  16. Max everyone was screaming at Bloom to add a 5th starter, because they had needed one for weeks. I’ll repeat for weeks. If Sale is healthy he’s good, but you can’t count on him to stay healthy for long though. Looked good last night.
  17. A little more life to the bats last night, and Story Land even looked better too. Of course the 3 run bomb by Casas helped.
  18. Thanks for the kind words Max.
  19. Chang outrighted to Worcester today. Hopefully he’s not needed in Boston again this year, but the way things have gone this year i wouldn’t count it out.
  20. Story back at SS tonight.
  21. As fair as I am overall I’ll give it a plus. To add to it the SS situation for a long time, and not adding a starting pitcher were a minus.
  22. Sale Day! $41 tickets for #41. Get ‘em while they last.
  23. I was yelling for a closer even before last year started, and I’ve already mentioned Martin, and Jansen were good moves. Yoshida has been a good pickup at least for a bat, but I still want to see how his stats end up at the end of the year, and how he does in these last two months postseason push. JT has been a great pickup, and I wish I hadn’t of dropped him so quick on my fantasy team. The story is INC on Duvall, and who knows what his stats would be today if he hadn’t gotten hurt. Not a great fit as a CF though. Duran has made a good comeback, but I’m still not entirely sold on him yet. I was wrong on him not deserving another chance though, which might not have happened if Duvall hadn’t gotten hurt. Casas has come around with the bat, which I was wondering for awhile. His D at 1B is another story though. Kluber not worth mentioning, and I’ve said enough about Kike. That’s all I got.
  24. I agree with you on the resting of players 100%, and adding a starting pitcher at the deadline, which had been needed for weeks would have helped the morale of the ball club, and fans alike, and might have made a difference of a game, or two, which may turn out to be big later on.
  25. No problem, and as always it’s a pleasure, and go ND.
