  1. I agree especially the players, so calling it very mad I agree with the mad part, and some more than others. I was more mad when Carlton Fisk left.
  2. Why does someone always have to be crying, bashing, or hating? Bitching, complaining, and criticizing yes, but that goes to both sides of an opinion. Not doing a fire sale at the trade deadline the last two years is a good example. There were a lot more complaining that a fire sale didn’t happen then the other way around, but I don’t call that crying.
  3. Small little corner of the world reference has NOTHING to do with where you live. I said I believe you can feel the pulse better if you are out in it everyday like I am. and I believe if you still lived in Portland, and was out in it you would have a better feel than where you live today. Small little corner of the world references talksox only, which I have said many times when I say that’s just a small sample size of opinions from a few regulars compared to all the different venues I go on, and say from what I hear is a minority opinion. Living in, and being out in, and small little corner of the world are 2 different subjects.
  4. There was always talk of Sale being a TJ waiting to happen, because of his motion, and frail frame. I thought it was a bad signing at the time, and would have waited to see how 2019 turned out.
  5. I wouldn’t call Portland Maine my little corner of the world. Portland is a big city to me here in Maine. I’ll agree that 2004 changed things along with 2007, 2013, and 2018.
  6. Not always favorite, but need him to do well. He’s on my fantasy team along with Casas.
  7. I ran out of green ink a long time ago.
  8. Good one.
  9. We agree you are a pretender fan who bailed so fast last year.
  10. Yes we have, and I’ve told how it started. I know I’m not the only one except for the length of time, and you remember it wasn’t that long ago that he got into it with MVP, and you were all upset about it.He has had me on ignore several times, but then he still comments on my post. He can’t resist, and has bragged he has to get the last word in.Besides I only Cheer, Cheer for Old Notre Dame.
  11. See you can’t resist., and you are not throwing stones?
  12. You are not trying to throw stones? That is a BIG pile of BS. Old Red syndrome that lives in your mind rent free. You have been that way since I’ve been on here that I know of, and sure you have been that way since you have been on here. MVP told me he has had you on ignore before, and it wasn’t that long ago that you, and him did your best Seinfeld impression, and had an argument about nothing. You even had poof Bell all upset about it. I have stated this story before that it started with e when I first come on here when I stated I would not have rehired Cora, and I stated why. You took the BIG leap with it, and said I hated Cora. You apologized later on, but that wasn’t the problem. The problem was that you made to big leap to hate in the first place. I have shared that opinion many times face to face at least to 50 people, and one JJ to the conclusion that I hated Cora like you did. Some disagreed with me, but no hate was ever mentioned. I have mentioned before that I’m not a cheerleader, who waves Pom poms when things are going good, and just, because I only say something when things are bad to you means I’m a bad fan. You come on here all the time, and think you’re holier than thou like you are the Red Sox #1 fan, but yet you were the first one to bail last year when I stayed with them to the end. Just, because you post the most, and the month lengthy post doesn’t make you anything, and to say you are not throwing stones is once again BS, and you and everyone else knows it.
  13. Good additions of facts. Thanks. We agree he’s put two bad teams together the last two years.
  14. Trade good young home grown players to get more young players back? Mookie isn’t here today, because Bogey, and Raffy were on the team at the time. I haven’t heard anyone else suggest that Bogey, and Raffy should have been traded 4-5 years ago, and I’d be interested to see if others on here agree, or not. It wouldn’t make sense to me, and like I said that is not why Mookie isn’t here.
  15. The Red Sox are 5-16 the last 3 years the 7 games after the trade deadline. Coincidence, or not?
  16. Devers, and Bogey were still young players back then. They could, and should have kept 2 of them anyway.
  17. If Mookie would have signed they wouldn’t have been stuck with the bad Sale deal.
  18. Devers was the last man standing off the Mookie, Bogy, and Raffy trio. If Mookie would have been the last man he might still be here depending if he wanted to, or not. Henry would have been crucified more than he is now, and Fenway may have been torn down by the fans if Raffy would have left town too.
  19. I’ll strive to do better.
  20. I think you would have to know the women who coined it, and how she explained it. It’s just as simple as the women of the view think they are all right, and the men on talksox think they are all right. There really wasn’t anymore to it than that. Nothing sinister.
  21. And asking the most logical question of why can’t both be done. Building, and winning at the same time.
  22. I don’t think JH would have paid the money regardless. 10 years ago maybe.
