  1. 17-23 on the season. 7-12 at home. 27th in run scored. 28 in HR. A BAD team in a very weak league, 🤮
  2. Fred as I told you before they just don’t get the Point. As I’ve told you if you say JH is a cheapskate 1000 times one will say is not, is not, is not, 1000 times, and then he’ll say he’s not apologizing, or defending JH when we know he is. The other one will tell you there is more to baseball than hitting when the Red Sox are 27th in the league in runs scored. That’s what you’re up against.🙈
  3. I think it took a lot of things out of him when he was traded by the Red Sox that he might never be the same player again.i think he still would be a better player in Boston, but probably wouldn’t of aged to well.
  4. I think he was taking the lead from others on here who just can’t comprehend THE POINT. They seem to point in another direction altogether.🤔
  5. NO ONE had to have inside sources inside the RS FO to know that Bregman was Plan A, and if they did most of RSN knew it. Obviously some on here didn’t.🙈
  6. I already answered the Bregman question, and I said before the offseason started I would have signed Alonso, so no I don’t agree on Con Man. How it all works out time will tell.
  7. I agree, and that’s why I said at the time when the Red Sox first signed Bregman that the money was too much, but the length of 3 years was just right. 5 years was to many for Bregman.
  8. Con Man was cheaper than Alonso. Ranger was cheaper than Bregman, and DUBin was just plain cheap. Some think plan A was just what was reported first. OMG, and Good Golly Miss Molly.🙈
  9. I told you they didn’t get it, and they still don’t. Bregman was plan A, and Alonso was the first choice to along with plan A. The Red Sox got neither, and went to cheaper options. It’s really not that difficult to understand?
  10. Fred they just don’t get your point. Even though you’ve explained it many times on why you say JH is cheap It just goes right over their heads. As I said before if you say JH is cheap 1000 times one of them will come back, and say 1000 back is not, is not, is not. They not only don’t get your point, but it’s a point well taken.😉
  11. And does this all say it adds up to being 25th in the league in runs scored while being 27th in HR? If it doesn’t it doesn’t tell much of a story!🤔
  12. I don’t think comparing Alonso to the Con Man is the same as comparing Story to Gwynn.
  13. If, if if. Well the flops bats aren’t hitting their career numbers, and that’s why the Red Sox are 25th in runs scored, which is a Big reason they are 5 games under 500, and have been worse than that most of the time.
  14. HR puts runs on the board in the moment. Con Man is pretty slick around the bag for only playing there one year though. Alonso has put up better power numbers than the Con Man all through out their careers. Since 2019 when Alonso came into MLB Alonso has hit 264 HR to the Con Man’s 127. 712 RBI for Alonso, and 385 for the Con Man. Not even close. You can have any OPS, or just OBP, and I’ll take the other stats anytime.
  15. It wasn’t much of a bid, but they did lose out on Alonso who might have been plan B to Bregman being plan A.
  16. I don’t care about OPS. Don’t look now, but Alonso has caught the Con Man in HR with 8, and is now only 1 RBI behind him. As I said before the season if healthy Alonso will hit more HR, and have more RBI than the con Man. Remember also the Red Sox went after Alonso first, and then turned to the Con Man.
  17. Bottom line this may be the weakest I have ever seen the league. 18 out of the 30 teams have a losing record. All the teams in the wildcard hunt have a losing record except for 1 team. The Red Sox at 17-22 in a league this weak makes the Red Sox really look worse than they really are. They may be in postseason contention, but this team is far from a playoff team. 27th in HR, and 25th in runs scored. I’ve been saying for a few years now that this was a watered down league. Can’t say that anymore now, because it’s under water.
  18. Is JH the same guy today in all facets of the Red Sox operation as he was when he bought the Red Sox, and the Red Sox won those Championships, or even going back to 2018? You have thrown out the be careful what you wish for comment many times, and I think if a vote went out today in all of RSN it would be overwhelmingly be just like the plane that circled Fenway for an hour to sell IMO. That would be the wish.
  19. Once again Casas was the planned 1B, and I don’t think the Red Sox brass at the time saw Raffy’s D at 3B as a big problem like you, and others did thus Bloom telling Raffy he be the 3B for the foreseeable future.
  20. I don’t know what the vibes in the clubhouse, and dugout are since Chad took over, but outside of Masa being odd man out when everyone is healthy i don’t see much difference in how things are done.
  21. And they counted Sac Flys as an AB back in those days like the 406 season.
