    That Cora said he hadn’t spoken to Raffy, and wasn’t going to is a FACT. Saying Cora was taking the fall for Raffy is your opinion, and obviously nothing more than speculation.

    The Red Sox had a problem at 1B for the past 2-3 years, and that’s why Franchy was put there, so this past year was NO different.

    Well said, and that much weaker lineup could have used Raffy in the past postseason against the Yankees.You won’t get that opportunity, or series back.

    I get what you are saying, but just not to the extent. As I’ve said from the beginning if Cora had told Raffy to go to 1B, and he didn’t I would have a whole different opinion on all of this, but he didn’t, so I’m going by what Cora said, and what he did, or didn’t do.

    Cora said he was fine with the 1B situation, so who you are really arguing with is Cora. You can blame Raffy all you want, and call him all the names you want to, but Cora did not only not put Raffy at 1B, but said he wasn’t even to talk with him about it. What may have seemed like the best lineup to you obviously didn’t seem like the best lineup to Cora. Cora to me is the key in all of this, and not Raffy.

    I can’t speak for others, but for me who was never a Devers Forevers guy, or a big fan of Cora that speaks for itself. I just think what was BEST for the team was Raffy being the best DH he could be, and I won’t go so far as to say obviously.

    It’s amazes some people that you can take the same set of circumstances, and not everyone sees it the same way, and forms different opinions on what they see.

    Why do you think Cora was just trying to make everyone happy instead of just thinking Raffy at 1B was a bad idea?He had settled in quite nicely at DH, after a record breaking disastrous start.

    Cora said they were fine at 1B. Are you trying to count Masa who was shipped off in exile somewhere, and wouldn’t even let him bat at WOO under the ruse he was working on his arm. If you don’t think going to a new team isn’t a much different situation then no further discussion.

    We’ve gone all over this now 1000’s of times already. Whole different situation, and you can call him whatever you like. We’ve also gone all over what position he’s playing with SF. He went to a NEW team who already have a good 3B. Once again a whole different situation.

    I think a RHB would be preferable, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it ends up being someone who hasn’t been mentioned.

    He was available for quite a while. I think as it stands right now Mayer is at 3B, and anyones guess at 2B.

    If Alonso came first then no Con Man, but Ranger came much later on so probably Gray happens.

    Sounds like Suarez is going to mainly be the DH.
