  1. If Story thought he could make more money than what was left on his Red Sox contract he would have opted out. The fact that he didn’t tells a lot.
  2. Bingo! Not every prospect works out no matter how high they are ranked.
  3. Good post, and I agree that even when the Red Sox had some bad teams in the early 1960’s they could sill put up some runs. Even watching Earl Wilson hit was more exciting than some of the ineptness going on now. It is much more exciting to me to watch the Red Sox score 9 runs than it is to scratch, and claw for 1 run even in a loss.
  4. But at least those teams scored some runs.
  5. #5 team? They are 7 games UNDER 500! I don’t care if that put them in 1st place. THEY SUCK! You keep saying if this, and if that. If doesn’t count, and isn’t happening.🙈
  6. They ignored the offense for the most part, because Alonso whom they offered a contract to first was to expensive whom was going to supplement Bregman who they wanted all along, but he was to expensive too. The storyline that the Red Sox didn’t drop off much last year after Raffy left is factually true, but most likely would have been better if he would have stayed, and especially was missed against the YANKEES In the postseason.
  7. Agree on that. LLL. Lifeless, Listless, LOSERS with Slumber in the Lumber.
  8. 17-24. 7-13 at Fenway. 27th in runs scored. 29th in HR. 29th in total bases per game. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
  9. Let me try again. Did anyone else hear this?
  10. Good assessment, and describing being hyper focused day to day on here is spot on.
  11. You mean like saying Devers Forevers over, and over, and over, and then turn on him when he doesn’t do what they want? I agree 100% on that.
  12. Bar, corner, Sports radio, or here? Which has the best pulse of RSN?🤔
  13. Cora’s gone now, and it’s a wait and see with Story.
  14. I get that, but I don’t think Cora would have made any moving around any positions on his own.
  15. True, but I don’t think they’d bring him up to just platoon.
  16. Did I hear the other day that the leagues BA is at the lowest point in the modern day era?
  17. I don’t think there was ever any plan to move Raffy to 1B, or Casas to DH when Raffy was signed . Casas was the 1B, and Raffy was the 3B for better or worse in the eyes of Bloom, and Cora, and still in Cora’s when Bloom left IMO.
  18. Good way to put it, and may take 2 OF injuries to get him up now.
  19. Agree. Horrible ST, and they kept moving him around, which continued even more when he went back down to WOO.
  20. Was he Minor League player of the year last year after he got sent back, down, and didn’t come back up? Is he tearing up the league this year, and is he any closer to being back up in Boston now then he was after being sent down last year. Suspect to prospect to major Leaguer. Where is he on that scale. Coulda, shoulda waited on that contract IMO.
  21. Thanks, but you could leave the bases loaded every inning, and not score. You could hit a HR every inning, and score at least 1 run an inning. Even I can understand that.
  22. 3-8 1 HR, and 4 RBI. I know that high OPS sounds better, but I like things broken down myself.
  23. That may be, but I always said they should have offered more per year with no opt outs.
