  1. From the guy who always thinks he knows how much the Red Sox are going to spend, and who they will spend it on, and always gets it wrong like there was NO ONE better in all of MLB better than Kike for $10M. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
  2. None of us are Cora, and I’ll say with 100% positivity that had Sale been on the Red Sox, and healthy on March 28 2024 he would have been the opening day starter since it’s not his birthday. If you, or others don’t then fine.
  3. And I’m not disputing that, and never have.
  4. Who said they hated the trade? Who? All I said was I don’t like paying Atlanta $17M.
  5. Oh yes the bike accident would scare people away. Bike accident? Really? Wow?
  6. Now that makes NO sense at all that had they unloaded Sale’s $27M they couldn’t, or wouldn’t have signed a better player.
  7. There was word out In MLB that someone out there wanted Sale, and would have taken his salary too, but Bloom didn’t do it,so don’t say there is no one out there that wouldn’t have done that. That may be your opinion just like I have mine, but it doesn’t make it so.
  8. They could have resigned Mookie, and Bogey too, but they didn’t, so when you say they could sign both Snell, and Monty right now that’s nothing, but wishful thinking.
  9. Everyone had Sale penciled in to the Red Sox rotation, and starting opening day.
  10. I’ve already answered that yesterday that I would have been happy if Atlanta had given nothing back as long as they paid all of Sale’s salary, which in return for that $27M saved the Red Sox could have gone out, and gotten something better than what they got back anyway. If it would the other way around, and the Red Sox paid $10M instead it would have looked a little better, but not $17M. That’s my opinion anyway. It’s like Sale is still on the team, but not pitching for you, and you’re still paying him $17M.
  11. No! It’s why. They paid JT not to play for them anymore.
  12. This is all well, and good, but it still doesn’t mean the Red Sox should have paid Atlanta $17M for Sale to go, and pitch for them.
  13. Why wouldn’t they be spending the $17M on someone else, or as I would look at it $27M.🙈
  14. I would have been happy if they had gotten nothing in return for Sale as long as the other team picked up his entire salary.
  15. Nothing wrong with getting a decent prospect for Sale. The problem to me is paying $17M to do it.
  16. But will he be an upgrade on D at 2B?
  17. Bad glove, bad arm, or both?
  18. I guess Story, and Yoshida didn’t do it for you.
  19. Even though Sale has a good team behind him the big question of course is IF he can stay healthy. Maybe a change of scenery will change his luck. If so good for him, and the Braves will get even better, and could possibly get Sale for 2yrs/ $30M.
  20. I don’t think you learn anything, and take into next year from yesterday’s game. It was 1 JV team against another JV team. Glad to see Angeli get a chance, and looked pretty good, but he’ll be back to the bench next year if he doesn’t transfer.
  21. Well he’s young with 4 more years control, but I don’t think Yorke would do it.
  22. Nobody knows what Bogey would have done if that would have been offered after the 2021, or 2022 seasons, but it would have had a better chance than when it was finally offered.
  23. Agree, and it definitely wasn’t that 1 yr extension that Bloom tried to pawn off on him either. What a joke that was.
  24. Look at it anyway anybody wants, but for this year the Red Sox are on the hoof for $17M.
  25. Big wheels are turning.
