  1. Agree, Like I said before just, because they have reached new career highs in innings pitched doesn’t mean they still shouldn’t be able to pitch.
  2. Criswell will probably be first man up, and then Wink. If it gets to have to be more than that then it’s on to 2025. It’s a bad time to be resting the starters now, but the way some have been pitching it looks like no other choice.
  3. Maybe just maybe the Red Sox don’t value Grissom as highly now as when they traded for him, and who’s to say he’d be better than Sogard at the moment, or DHam either. Grissom certainly hasn’t earned any playing time yet.
  4. You do the worrying over Grissom, because I really don’t care who is playing 2B on a given day for the Red Sox. Like I said earlier all have contributed at one time, or another, and at the moment the Sox are playing good ball with the So Man at 2B, and yes he’s contributing in the short stay he’s had so far.
  5. Where did I say 2B was all set? I said the need isn’t as big now as it was when the trade for Grissom was made, and many have passed through 2B this year, and all have contributed. Is there room for improvement? Yes, but I don’t see Grissom as that answer. If he is, and comes back, and proves it great, but I’m not going to think about it either way.
  6. A lot has changed since Grissom was acquired. What Breslow saw as a big need at 2B at the time just isn’t there like it was before. There has been many pass through 2B this year, and Grissom himself, which wasn’t a very good audition injuries aside, but others have now gotten chances, and have contributed. Grissom is fine right where he is in Woo. I don’t think there are now any long range plans in Boston for Grissom unless the Red Sox somehow unload Story, or he gets hurt again, or someone else gets hurt.
  7. True, but no one is getting traded until the offseason now. GOshida is hot now, and fame can be fleeting, and he can turn into NOshida again, and go back to hitting ping pong balls to the IF. Like I keep saying playing time, and where tend to work themselves out on their own, and if not it’s a good problem to have.
  8. Agree on GOshida, and at least we’re not hearing all this just giving him away, and eating a good chunk of his salary.
  9. Duran, and the RAF Man play everyday. Outside of Raffy the rest of the team is pretty much mix, and match every day anyway. Raffy was out earlier in the season, and Masa was out with injuries as well. Masa also played OF last year, and needed more rest.
  10. He just pitched 2 innings Saturday. Cora trying to get to much out of him.
  11. If the Red Sox thought Criswell was the answer they wouldn’t have sent him back to Woo, and added Paxton after Criswell came back. I don’t know if Paxton is much of an improvement at this late point of the season though.
  12. I agree. Who sent Wink down to Woo? Who sent Criswell back to Woo? I don’t think those moves was just a Cora decision at all.
  13. Brez was quite pleased with himself of his accomplishments at the trade deadline even though the rotation was only somewhat helped by finding someone in the breakdown lane hitchhiking.
  14. It just took a while to get there.
  15. He’s played better D at 3B too.
  16. Like I asked how many games did the Red Sox lose between the AS break, and the trade deadline, because of the back end of the BP blew games late. They needed help then, and even more knowing Jansen wouldn’t be going to Colorado, and did nothing, and losses resulted, because of it. You have NO clue if a trade could have been done then, or not, and neither do I. In the end they had to trade anyways last resort, or not, but once again waiting for the trade deadline losses happened in the meantime. Using the Wing Man, and the Yo Man they were pretty much pitching short handed anyways.
  17. And it the meantime how many games did the Red Sox lose , because of the backend of the BP late in games since the AS break? You’ve mentioned this yourself. 4 loses that won’t be given back.
  18. Why did it have to be the waiver wire in the first place?
  19. That’s the question I asked. That’s kind of like I was told the Red Sox couldn’t have done anything better with their $10M than Kike when they resigned him. The Red Sox couldn’t have done much worse than the Wing Man, and the YO Man. I don’t know who else was out there at the time, but if that’s all the was than Baseball is even in worse shape than I thought.
  20. You are such a NN. NO ONE said anything about pitching short, or with a 6 man staff, but you. Were the Wing Man, and the Yo Man the ONLY two so called available arms out there, or was it that’s who the Red Sox chose?
  21. He had a shorter stint than the Wing Man.
