  1. I don’t think anyone would have been upset two years ago if Bloom would have traded Sale, and the rest of his contract. Now what happened after that depends on what the Red Sox would have done with that money saved from that contract, and if they would have invested in more pitching, or not. What happened this year with Sale after finally trading him that have gotten fans upset is how everything has turned out, which is bad on all fronts for the Red Sox. I keep hearing the damned if you do comment, but the outcome of any move is how something is judged good, or bad.The here, and now first, and then the final outcome. Paying the Braves $17M of Sale’s contract wouldn’t be good to me no matter how everything works out.
  2. Outside of pitching playing below 500 ball at Fenway is a big disadvantage for the Red Sox.
  3. I believe the majority of fans have turned, and I believe the holdouts are getting fewer and fewer.
  4. ERA going up every month, and more HR allowed adds up to the pitching getting worse to me.
  5. What’s happening on the MLB squad is what’s most important IMO.
  6. Not to mention the HR are flying out of the park at an alarming rate, and mostly off sweepers, and off speed pitches.
  7. The magic show that everyone bought into early on has been exposed.
  8. Good news last night the Red Sox won, and the bats were raking. Bad news was the pitching gets worse every day.
  9. Maybe it would do Story some good too to get away from Boston.
  10. I agree. Getting Brez to pay $17M has worked out pretty well for the Braves.
  11. Atlanta was interested in Sale last year, and it was probably them who contacted the Red Sox this past offseason, and not the other way around. I agree that they don’t think there is any big surprise to the Braves that Sale is pitching this well in a Braves uniform. Maybe all Sale needed was to get away from that bad injury juju that seems to be hanging over Boston the past few years.
  12. It’s all DD fault. Bad resigning from Day 1.
  13. HR’s are flying out of the ballparks at great distances, and alarming rates mostly off Bailey’s philosophy of breaking balls, and off speed pitches, and that has been killing the Red Sox.
  14. And with the 12th pick in the 2024 HOBO draft the Red Sox select Brez.
  15. If the Red Sox had Eflin they wouldn’t need the pen as much. It looks like Brez didn’t help that horrible looking pen much either, so I agree with you on that.
  16. The O’s picked up Eflin, and Brez picked up Paxton, and maybe Hill. The O’s were in the passing lane, and Brez was in the breakdown lane picking up hitchhikers.
  17. Anything that gets rid of the stupid opener is a good idea to me.
  18. April was no shock. It was a sham, sham, sham.
  19. I’m not wondering at all if last nights loss took the wind out of anyone’s sail. Gee!🤭🙈
  20. I understand that, but MOOn keeps saying the Red Sox didn’t spend the $10M saved from Sale, and I believe they did, and then some.
  21. Cora’s not listening, because the RAF Man is back at SS tonight.
  22. Because you, and others keep showing what I have posted before that I’m not disputing, or claiming hindsight. It works both ways.
  23. You still don’t get that the Red Sox spent the $10M saved on Sale on Gio, and spent $35M together instead of $27M on Sale.
