  1. Right now the Red Sox are LLL. Lifeless, listless, and LOSING. Three years in a row now the Red Sox have been like this at the end of the season. Underdogs, underwhelming, and undeserving of the fan base, and all under the leadership of Cora. This team has been a bad fundamental team also for the last three years, and yes under the leadership of Cora. I know he walks on water to some on here, but he has to get some of the blame for what’s gone on the last 3 years. Bloom, Henry, Brez, and yes Cora has all had something to do with it.
  2. Cora did say WE made the plan, and not I. He also said WE got burned, but didn’t take the blame. Counting on a 44 yr old who wasn’t even in baseball a few week ago was not a very sound plan to begin with. Worrying about the Tigers big LHB didn’t seem like a problem to Caswell. The problem seemed to be Caswell was the problem for ALL the Tigers hitters.
  3. Being a lifelong Red Sox fan, which you are not since I can remember from 1960 it gives me a different perspective., which is not as long as Max, but longer than some. The 60’s up until the Impossible Dream of 67 were not very good at all, and Fenway was not a big destination like it is now with real small crowds. Not once though did I never think I would not see the Red Sox win a WS. 67 was never going to happen, because of some guy named Gibson. 75 was close, and a great WS, and 86 was close too. I knew eventually the Red Sox would win a WS, and they finally did in 2004, and have won 3 more after that. JH has been a good owner, but now I believe it’s time for him to go. I believe the Red Sox would have eventually won one without him. I don’t think expecting the Red Sox to field a competitive winning team every year, and even winning another WS as being entitled either.
  4. I’m sure JH is not impressed with the active 26 man payroll compared to what the total payroll is either, which doesn’t help matters any.
  5. Like I’ve said many times it’s what the coaches, and players in the clubhouse thinks that’s most important, and not what fans, or so called super fans thinks. It’s not just Cora who says the MOST IMPORTANT thing is what you do, or don’t do in October. Many other Managers, and players throughout MLB say the same thing. You disagreeing does not change any of that.🤭🙈
  6. That’s not being ignorant IMO.
  7. New to online forums? Boy you’re really at it today. It’s always more acceptable to make the postseason. Teams in any sport with the best record don’t always win in the postseason, but teams with the worst record sometimes do. It shouldn’t even be a debate that getting into the postseason is better than not getting in . Teams with better records in the postseason does not guarantee success.
  8. I don’t think Bell agreed he was ignorant.
  9. You really asked that question? How many fans out in RSN do you think would rather see the Red Sox make the playoffs, or not. I don’t think the vote would be even close with getting in being the winner. ACCEPTABLE to not getting in at all.
  10. Ignorant? Wow!
  11. Oh I think it should be done, but I’ll believe it when I see it, and I’d be shocked if it happens.
  12. Entitled fan? That’s what I mean when I say the bar has been set so low now. If expecting the Red Sox to be in the postseason every year, or at least be in not only in contention, but real contention I’ll take being called an entitled fan along with many, many others who are out in RSN. If you’re not playing to win every year, and get into the postseason then don’t play at all IMO.
  13. The bar has been dropped so low that a 82 win season will now look like a major improvement postseason berth, or not.
  14. Well said. If the Red Sox don’t make the postseason for the third straight year it’s 100% unacceptable IMO no matter what’s going on down on the farm, and what might happen in 2026.
  15. Like Cora has said that what you do, or don’t do in October is what’s most IMPORTANT, and not what the farm ranking is. If the Red Sox do not play in the postseason again this year that will make it three years in a row, which is totally unacceptable IMO. Just imagine the Gaul of those fans that want to win now.🙈🤭
  16. No one is saying Criswell is a 100 pitch guy. He had thrown 72, 79, and 80 pitches his last 3 starts, and only 52 today, and hadn’t been touched with 5 K’s. Detroit is far away from a murderers row, which they mentioned more than once today also on the telecast. Like I said it was all predetermined, and as good as Criswell was pitching it should have been changed. Having Hill as your next up guy didn’t seem like a good idea either. He just pitched yesterday, and just because he throws LH, which Criswell doesn’t, and had no problem mowing them down think Hill was a better option under the circumstances just seems like over managing, and after it was all said, and done it blew up in Cora’s face.
  17. The guy most importantly had only thrown 52 pitches, and hadn’t given up anything, and I don’t think if they hadn’t shown Hill warming up no one would have expected that he would have been taken out. If Criswell would have come out, and given up 3 HR to start the 5th I don’t think many would have said he never should have started the 5th. Even the Yuckers in the NESN booth questioned the decision more than once. A predetermined over managing. IMO.
  18. In that situation with the way he was pitching, and for a predetermined reason not only yes, but hell yes. Cora Over Managing once again, and NOT working out.
  19. May be more enjoyable to watch, but that’s setting the bar pretty low if the Red Sox don’t make the postseason for the third year in a row. How’s it been since the AS break? How’s it been since Cora signed his extension? How’s it been since the trade deadline? It was thought the Red Sox did pretty good on the road trip though Baltimore, and Houston even though the Red Sox lost ground in the wildcard standings. Funny thing the standings don’t know, or care who you beat. Finally how’s it been since that road trip through Baltimore, and Houston. The Red Sox are now closer to teams behind them then they are to teams ahead of them like Detroit after taking 2-3 from Boston.
  20. Cora said it was a predetermined plan to take Criswell out before the game even started for matchup purposes. Just an example of over managing, which Cora does often.
  21. Picking up O’Neil was no big deal. Duval last year, and Renfroe, and his 96 RBI were added 2 years ago, so those kind of OF are easy to pick up. Weissert, Campbell, and Criswell is depth, but quantity, and not quality.
  22. Bad luck, or bad judgement, but the 2 BP guys he picked up has pitched worse after coming to Boston.
  23. I don’t see the Red Sox trading much young talent away for any starting pitcher.
  24. Brez doesn’t get any atta boys for his trade deadline acquisitions either IMO. He looked pretty proud of himself at the time too.
