  1. If Grissom can’t win the job this year he’d be running out of chances IMO. Mayer getting closer, and if he takes over SS when he does Story could slide over. Where KC ends up is another question.
  2. Runaway choice? If he wins the job on ST alone it will be more by default considering what KC, and Grissom has done so far. Nothing great, but better than the other two.
  3. Raffy had every right, and has every right to be pissed off, and feels betrayed. It doesn’t matter who said Raffy would be the Red Sox 3B for the foreseeable future. They were representing the Red Sox, and it doesn’t matter to Raffy if they are still with the Red Sox, or not IMO. Who knows if Cora was in on those conversations as well, but saying the team is under different management now is just Cora being a Jackass IMO. Raffy has done nothing wrong, or said nothing wrong in all of this, and I would say the something if he refused to DH, or requested a trade. I’m not a big Devers Forevers guy, and not a big fan of Cora either. I don’t really care if Raffy plays 3B, DH, or 1B. Everyone Heard what Raffy had to say, and what Cora had to say in the beginning, and didn’t need any media to form their opinions IMO. I’m just waiting to see how it all turns out, and then go from there.
  4. Raffy, and Abreu in lineup today.
  5. And all this was done without knowing that Houck, and the Kut Man would step up, and give you the amount of innings that both pitched last year. Bad roster construction at the very least. The $17M the Sox payed Atlanta got me the most.
  6. Not surprising, but I disagree. I see Grissom #1 on the depth chart with DHam, or Romy backing him up. Mayer missed valuable developmental time the last two years due to injury, and isn’t ready IMO.
  7. Basically minus O’Neil. I know he didn’t have many RBI for the HR he hit, but I don’t know how much more production Bregman is going to give. I’m not as impressed by Bergman’s Fenway numbers as most, because it was against the Red Sox pitching staff.
  8. It should be a combination of all 3 IMO. To leave out 2?🙈🤭
  9. Also left the game with hamstring tightness.
  10. Raffy is facing Crochet, and Buehler in simulated games on Wed, and Thursday, so his shoulders are good enough for that.
  11. Raffy now pushed back this weekend to make his first appearance of the spring. Still taking live BP, and hitting off a machine though. Very Interesting.
  12. I think it has been Raffy holding himself back more than the Red Sox. Raffy supposedly went to Cora last week, and said he needed more work in the cage, and more live BP.
  13. He hasn’t pitched in a game yet, and supposedly will next week.
  14. Not good news for the Yankees? Garrett Cole had an MRI, and the Yankees are seeking a second opinion.
  15. True, and he’ll be a year older.
  16. It could be a combination of not wanting to play in Detroit, wanting to play in Boston, and a chance to make more money in the long run.
  17. Good to see Whitlock pitch in the game today.
  18. I know there was a lot of rift raft on that team, but I was talking more about the nucleus of Bogey, JD, and Raffy. Dugy was just starting out, and Sale, and ERod was coming back.
  19. It didn’t have to. There was still a Lot of talent on the 2020 team despite what their record showed.
  20. Deadlines don’t always mean much. Even Cora signed during the season last year when he said he wouldn’t.
  21. Also saying that more, and more it sounds like Abreu won’t be ready to start the season.
