  1. Would you make that deal if you were STL? You probably spend more time trying to unload Hicks, and Masa than Brez does. I get it, but i don’t believe there are to many takers out there that want either Masa, or Hicks let alone both even if they save some money, or not.
  2. It’s not just relying on so many young players, but relying on them to be good, which most likely all will not turn out as good as many on here have been dreaming about for years now. Mookie, Bogey, and Raffy all won championships playing for the Red Sox, and all turned out being good players. How many of the current crop of youngsters will be as good, and how many of championships will they win? Time will tell. Anything short of Championships after all the hype will be a failure IMO. Casas, and Mayer has broken down at early ages, which isn’t a good sign.
  3. I agree. The three years Bregman signed for originally was the right amount of years IMO.
  4. Agree 1000%. I said back in ST that if Campbell was going to be the Red Sox 2B he should be strictly play 2B, and not spending time in the OF. Especially since Campbell doesn’t have that good of a glove to begin with. He Still doesn’t have a position either.
  5. If Bregman isn’t signed in the first place then Raffy most likely is still the Red Sox 3B. The whole Raffy fiasco to me was what led Brez to trade Raffy. Getting rid of the 8 years of Raffy’s contract was a result of the trade, and not a main reason IMO.
  6. If the Red Sox don’t resign Bregman that’s pretty much what it turns out to be IMO.
  7. I've said for the last three years I didn’t see the Red Sox signing any long term like 5yrs, and any $100M+ contracts for a pitcher and I still feel that way.
  8. I was thinking of outbidding someone of the likes of Flintstone, and Alonso that will take more money, and more years than the ones you mentioned.
  9. Don’t know of any interest then. The Rumors at the time was more on Monty.
  10. And maybe trading Devers, because of a 1 yr rental.🤭
  11. The Red Sox did not want to spend $75M on a 34 yr old, or spend on Snell, or Monty that some wanted on here. Monty didn’t turn out so well. Shorter term contracts like they gave to Gio is more to their liking.
  12. I agree, but ownership in MLB have given Out some silly contracts with Bogey’s being one of them. Anything over 2-3 years for Bregman, and $40M/yr is silly IMO.
  13. The prediction I saw was $150M-$200M for 5 years.
  14. Not very likely with BorAss around.
  15. No Big losses today, but Brian Kelly is on the hot seat at LSU. Love it.
  16. Great game by the Yam Man tonight, and good win for the Dodgers.
  17. The Big question for the Red Sox is if Bichette would be to expensive for their taste.
  18. As always the pitching has to be upgraded. To me the team was better this year, because the starting pitching was better with Crochet, Bello, and Gio pitching well over an extended period of time. Also having Whit, and Chapman anchoring the backend of the BP. Gio is now a question mark, and you can’t count on Chapman having another career year next year.
  19. One thing we’ve found out the last two years is that Brez isn’t afraid to make a deal at least in the offseason. Trade deadline line is another story.
  20. I’m not so sure that other teams value Duran, and Abreu quite as highly as some do on here, or even Garcia for that matter.
  21. How do you see an offer for Greene if you were on the Cincinnati side. Would Duran, Garcia, and Sandlin be enough?
  22. The Red Sox are 23rd in the league revenue to payroll.
