  1. Which is most likely not the 2021, and before one, and all for the low, low price of $20M+. Which stats from last year has gotten you all excited that this guy will even be better than Pivetta? 2021 was a long time ago when this guy was good, and even the Red Sox were a postseason team them. Now both are MEH.
  2. JH, and Sam are the coal. The gift that keeps on giving All year long.
  3. With the 12th pick in the 2024 HOBO draft the Red Sox selected Brez for Prez.
  4. The illusion of being in contention just like on Soto. It works on some.🤫
  5. I think both things could be right in this situation. Being cheap, and getting a young pitcher with a high ceiling.
  6. Like I’ve said many times all of the Minor League players are nothing but Suspects till they come up, and produce in a Red Sox uniform, or are traded for someone who does. Reality doesn’t always live up to hype, and the Red Sox certainly play up the hype.
  7. That’s why I was thinking more along the line of the Bogey extension, which was 6 years, and I believe an opt out after three. I don’t believe the Red Sox would make it worth his while to not have an opt out.
  8. Wow! If they offered him a three year contract it would buy out his 2 arb years left, and one additional year. There is NO six years to that at All.
  9. I never said they were fake, but I’ll still stick to my belief that the Red Sox knew they wouldn’t outbid the Big Boys from NY, or the Dodgers. Only for Masa did they do that.
  10. I was one of the few who didn’t buy into the Full Throttle scheme, and then spend all offseason crying sham, sham, sham and blasting everyone from JH on down. I kept saying let’s wait until March 28 to see how things looked. I said before the offseason even started that I didn’t expect the Red Sox would sign any high priced FA to any long term contracts, and would trade some suspects for some pitching, so I was a year off. You said it wasn’t worth making the postseason, because they wasn’t good enough, and I’ll repeat again that I think most Red Sox fans would take making the postseason rather they did anything, or not, and would not say what’s the sense like you did. On to 2025. The here, and now.
  11. No one knows if the future is going to be as bright as everyone has been salivating about since Mayer was picked after three teams passed on him, and he became the chosen one of the Red Sox. Now it seems Campbell, and Anthony have passed him in the hype, but none of these guys have produced Nothing yet in the bigs. There is certainly no guarantee they are all going to be Super Stars, and most likely all will not. Way to much hype put on all these suspects/prospects, and what the future could, or could not be. Fried was over paid for to long a time IMO.
  12. Well it’s worked on you, and gotten your approval, but I’m just the opposite. Like I said earlier I believe the Red Sox had 0% chance of getting the Yam Man, and, or Sto.
  13. The Dodgers, and Yankees could keep up with the Mets, but I don’t believe JH would want to play that game.
  14. I could seen a short extension like maybe 3 years, but not a long one with FA, and the possibility of a lot more money out there on the horizon, and an opt out like with Bogey would be there if on anything longer.
  15. I guess it depends on what you really classify as trying. I thought the Red Sox had a 0% of getting either the Yam Man, or Soto.
  16. Do you think the Red Sox thought they could outbid not one, but three teams like the Yankees, Mets, and Dodgers? No different than last year with the Yam Man. It wasn’t going to happen, but it looked good to the fans who bought in again.
  17. Has the finished product been completed yet? I don’t think so. Last year before the season even started you said the Red Sox wasn’t good enough even if they made the postseason so why bother. I don’t think most fans feel that way, and would gladly take getting In even if the Red Sox were swept. I believe also that most fans care about the here, and now, and right now 2025 is the here, and now just like 2022, 2023, and 2024 was when it was happening, and not about 2025, and beyond. I also know some on here look at it differently, and that’s ok too. Most fans I believe too don’t follow, or care what Boy Wonder is doing down at Gulf Coast, and if he’ll be a savior in 2028. 2025 is coming up NEXT, and right now matters most to me long way to go, or not.
  18. How about including Campbell, Anthony, and Mayer? How about throwing Duran, or Raffy in? That’s 1 way to get Raffy off 3B.
  19. Imagine that! The audacity of fans that only 2025 matters now.🙈🤭🤫
