  1. Houck has had 1 good, and healthy year, so until he does it again in 2025 I’m not ready to anoint him the next big thing yet. Cro has pitched 65+ innings just once, so I’ll wait to see how in can handle an increased workload, and how he handles Boston before I anoint him too. Sounds like you already have,
  2. Yes Bello would help get a decent return, but I don’t think Brez has any thoughts of trading him, or that the Red Sox have an over abundance of pitching depth that’s not short term they could spare him in a deal.
  3. Bello is NOT going to be anyone’s 5th pitcher let alone 6th pitcher. He may end end up being the best pitcher on the staff this year. You guys make it sound like Roger, Pedro, Sale, Beckett, and Schill is in front of him, and they are not. Not even close.
  4. If they are ready then great, but I don’t think Brez sits in office, and thinks we’ve got so much pitching depth what are we going to do with it all, so let’s trade a young controlled pitcher like Bello. Gio, Bue are not long term solutions, and who knows how long Cro will be around. As we’ve learned the last few years all the so called starting pitchers depth will most likely be needed at some point during the season if not all.
  5. Does anyone even know if he’ll be ready to start the season. I read one report that said Whit, and Gio will most likely start the year on the IL.
  6. Good!👍Bello is not being traded, or being the odd man out for the rotation. Plenty of potential, but plenty of uncertainty too. Gio coming off an injury, Cro has only pitched over 65 innings once, and who knows about Bue. Houck has had only one good healthy year, and will have to prove it again. That doesn’t sound like so much depth that Bello could be traded. 🙈. Bello May end up being their best starter this year.
  7. Old news, and was his healthiest, and most successful year. He was a cheap option as a starter.
  8. You guys are more worried about the Sox catching than the Red Sox are. Cro Man, Gio, and Bue Man might not even be here more than this coming year, and the Cro Man maybe in two. Bello is NOT being traded.
  9. How they handled Whit in 2021 2-3 days between appearances is well known and documented. I would say his health that year would be considered as healthy in theses days, and times.
  10. Yes the Red Sox have such a surplus of starting pitching.🙈🤭
  11. If everyone is healthy is the big question, and if Gio is healthy he’ll be in the rotation, and the Kut Man will most likely come out of the pen. Bello as I’ve heard some pondering is NOT going to the pen. As we all know there will most likely be a need for 9-10 starters, or so during the season, so the Kut Man will most likely end up back in the rotation at some point.
  12. Good points, but I’ve been saying since 2021 that he should have stayed in the pen, and been a late innings guy. 2021 was exclusively in the pen, and the only year he has stayed healthy coincidentally, or not.
  13. I guess the Dodgers just didn’t want to go 3yrs/$75M, or so with Teoscar, and he was a cheaper, shorter term solution.
  14. Seems like their math hasn’t worked out yet with Teoscar yet either.
  15. Did JH actually outbid the Dodgers for one of their own pitchers? Most likely the Red Sox were the highest bidders. Good sign, or Bad sign?
  16. As usual 2025 most likely will come down to how well the rotation holds up, and how well they do, which then will determine how are the BP holds up, and how well they do.
  17. Like how many things have gone right the past three years compared to how many things have gone wrong. Sale got out from the bad mojo, and looked what happened.
  18. I wasn’t for keeping Pivetta by any means, but was hoping for trading some more suspects for younger pitching like with Crochet.
  19. I’ve been saying for the last two offseason that the Red Sox were not going to sign any big FA pitchers to any long term contracts, and would trade some suspects instead for pitching. So far that is how it worked out. Now we’ll see how Crochet works out, and how many years he stays with the Red Sox from 1.5 yrs to whatever extension they can work out with him. The way the Red Sox mojo has gone the past few years injuries wise that will have to change for the Red Sox to improve to the point of being like the 2021 team.
  20. I fully aware of his TJ history. All I’m saying is this guy might not be any better than what Pivetta would give you, and I’m not all gung-ho as many are on here. Nothing more, or nothing less than that.
  21. I’m not saying Pivetta has been very good, but Buehler hasn’t been any good since 2021, and of course Buehler hasn’t been a picture, or pitcher of health either. Buehler career was 2021, and before.
  22. Still getting duped, and buying that old rotten cheese that JH keeps offering. If it makes you feel better that JH puts in offers that will never happen on the likes of the Yam Man, and Soto good for you.
  23. Like I said 2021 was a long time ago, and a lot has happened since then. Pivetta was a better pitcher for what it was in 2024. It will be 2025 now, so 2021 doesn’t mean a rats a**. Like I said MEH on the now $20M man.
