  1. When does Cora and Breslow get the boot? Worst pairing ever.
  2. Cora should have left Early in the game. Another poor managerial decision.
  3. Chaim Bloom looks ready to run another storied program into the ground.
  4. Why didn't we resign Wilson? We need pitching and don't seem to have it.
  5. Contreras was still "upset" from getting grazed (on the hand) when slid into Hamilton. He didn't even try to get out of the way of the pitch (I hate awarding a player first for not trying to get out of the way).
  6. Contreras went in late to Hamilton, spikes high. Should be kicked out. If I'm the Brewers, he's going to be seeing a bunch of up and in.
  7. Happy Easter! And now we are all alone with the worst record in baseball, 2-7.
  8. I really doubt the accuracy of ABS with a 2 dimensional strike zone plain set in the middle of the plate, 8.5" from front of the plate especially when it's giving ball calls with a measurement of 0.1" low on a curve. I get they had problems in the minors using the Hawk-Eye camera system with a true 3 dimensional strike zone, but I'm surprised they don't have a vertical sensor around the plate.
  9. Original tread title: What do the A's, White Sox and Red Sox have in common? We are all in last place,.tied for worst record, 1-5. I can't see it getting any better. Our pitching is like the Titanic when the iceberg hit it. Now 2-8. We have no power. Our starting pitcher ERA is 5.4.
  10. Small ball was terrific. Getting/having base runners on will usually affect the pitcher. Being able to sacrifice/bunt successfully to move the runner over is a must in close games. Great pitching also helps. That was an exciting game. The challenge by Anthony was terrific. Chapman got a strike called on an obvious ball but the Reds batter didn't challenge. I like the fact that the broadcasters are supposed to not have access to the strike zone box we see on TV (though someone could be - is - feeding it to them).
  11. We have 3 players who have more career hits than strikeouts (Yoshida, IKF, and Durbin). We will be average again at best.
  12. Campbell got paid for how he looked (6'3") for 30 games. Isn't the team doing the same with Mayer (6'3") at this point?
  13. Suarez of last year with the homers, yes. Pre injury Bregman was really good. He never fully recovered after missing 40 plus games. I don't think a Durbin/IKF mix is even a comparison.
  14. That should get him benched. No more watching home runs: It's narcissistic. When God knocks it back into the playing field you suddenly are a loser.
  15. The team has many question marks and unproven "talent" to show me they will do better in 2026 than 2025. Will the team be injury plagued again (we had only 3 players play in 119 or more games last year - in contrast the Blue Jays had 8 players, the Yankees 9 players). 83-79 or 79-83. It's always been a grind.
  16. Nolan Ryan wasn't oft injured throughout his career and if he was, he'd pitch right through it. Now there is simply too much guaranteed money.. Baseball should be more like football, getting rid of the guarantees.
  17. This guy makes Dustin Pedroia look like a giant (listed at 5'7"). Maybe 2nd base? Hopefully he keeps hitting.
  18. Another meaningless signing by Breslow. IKF is an okay hitter, but lacks power and speed. He may not help us lose games, but he's not going to help us win games. This Red Sox team has no proven power.
  19. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mlb.com/amp/news/bo-bichette-deal-with-mets.html
  20. Crazy money for Tucker. Another true pull hitter (he'll do well in LA, would have done better in Yankee Stadium with the short perch, not so good in Fenway). I think Bregman's move to Wrigley will limit his power numbers.
