  1. If there was anyone in the system capable of DHing with power. CB might even consider it. Much more likely to happen around trade deadline time Or as Sam K says "much earlier"
  2. After last night's debacle and with Bello on the mound on a Saturday afternoon , I think I will pass on watching the guys today. Given the sweep of KC and the first inning run scoring last night, the Sox once again lit the flame of hope for a big turnaround, then let it all slip away again. Even Slaten himself said he just didn't have it last night. So why not tell Bailey or Tracy, you don't have any good stuff. After Buxton's HR , Slaten needed to come out. Of course, he could been out of trouble if the wide receiver Contreras could catch the Hail Mary foul pop fly.
  3. If you had T-Mobile like me, you would have MLB.com for free
  4. Masa back to the roll over outside pitches for easy groundouts
  5. Tracy saving his pitching by letting Weissert pitch to Buxton. Should have pulled Slaten right after the first HR
  6. That was the second drop by Willson of a similar foulball in a week. Also he is a bat swinger , not a hitter
  7. Contreras needs to stop with the over the shoulder drops. Other guys have better angles. You knew Buxton would crush it after the drop
  8. Mayer has no clue how to hit a LH pitcher. He needs to become a fulltime player but he shows LL fear of getting hit by a LH'er
  9. Tolle with no command, needs to stabilize this at 2 runs. He's throwing, not pitching. Not smart
  10. This will be a chance vs a similar team (record wise) to see if the KC sweep meant anything. Sox have not hit well at Fenway leading to a losing record there. I would say Sox need to take 2 of 3, if not another sweep
  11. End of the Story ? No chance! He'll be back for September WC run with fresh legs and new bats . The question will be, can you lose your job via injury. Answer better be yes, if the replacement is good enough to keep the position.
