  1. This just in: Sox being No Hit through 3 2/3rds
  2. This game is not giving me a good vibe. The lineup is weaker than usual with Eaton and Duran sub-Mendoza. This is actually an important game to win and go into the break still rolling.
  3. Duran needs the ASB rest to figure out a new stance and swing path He is a total rollover right now
  4. That would be good because Coulombe was a ticking time bomb
  5. It will take a lot of roster juggling , injury recoveries, young guys (Tolle, Early, Bennett) surviving career IP without succumbing to Crochet's condition, and finally the outcome of trades.
  6. Sox have not been just 3 under since AC was still an employee in good standing. Did not last too long before sliding deep under water
  7. A real shame they fell to 14 under .500 before figuring out how to support great pitching, but it is rolling now
  8. Coulmbe was just teasing us. Had full control all the way. He is dangerous
  9. Amazing how you can score runs on just 2 swings of the bat I think home runs will catch on in baseball
  10. Slaten now needs to close the inning vs Moon's fav Bichette
  11. No wonder Narvaez cannot hit. He cannot see a strike when looking at it straight on
  12. Even if the Sox win this one via shutout. the terrible weakness of opportunistic hitting shines through LoB all day
  13. Leadoff triple and you get a soft bouncer and a K from 2 useless batters. Gonzalez just not sharp with his bat either, another K
  14. I may be one of the few who thinks 5 or 6 foul balls should be a K. Rivera goes to 64 pitches due to Polanco's f'ing around with fouls
  15. Durbin is a better judge of balls and strikes than many Sox hitters Runs well because his feet are close to the ground
  16. Rivera delivers 3 good innings. battling after leadoff walks in 2nd/3rd. Let him start the 4th? May as well but be ready to pull him if he walks another
  17. Getting very weary of the Ks with men in scoring positions. Jarren is no help watching 3rd strikes go by.
  18. Bello suffers from a reinforcing cycle of thinking he has problems in the first inning so he tries to be too careful which in turn leads to walks, HBP or grooving balls on 3-1 counts. The more it happens, the more it reinforces that negative thinking . Personally, I suspect he is an undereducated clown , and have never liked him as a serious pitcher. But he has shown he can do it on multiple occasions . You may also be seeing the effect of making a young, immature kid a multi-millionaire in a poor country like the DR. Papi and Pedro could talk to him all day and never gotten through to Brayan about needing to work hard , even in off season. You know Alex Cora discussed it with those guys. Why work too hard in the hot sun?
  19. Someday Anthony may well live up to his potential and he is still very young. If the RS hitting tactics are injuring him maybe he needs to swing "his way" . He has missed notable development time in '25 and now much of '26. He hit weakly in , like many others, in April this year. There is real concern that 2027 will be a short season , if at all., further jeopardizing Anthony's development as a pro hitter. To think he should be or will be the keystone of the lineup is putting too many eggs in one basket . Let's talk about him when he is back to playing which will be no time soon .
