  1. And some commenters are very critical of his fielding ability. I imagine they are talking about range, not getting to the ball so he only appears to not mess it up.
  2. Matt Barnes needs the work, and a dry inning. No rain forecast
  3. And wasn't the MVP ?
  4. Well he pulled Erod one out short of a Quality Start . There's that
  5. Cora's caddy, hit the shot Alex couldn't
  6. Chavis overmatched by a lefty throwing sidearm. He's slipping deeper into no man's land, but still don't think he'll get sent down. FO and Cora appear fully committed.
  7. Cora and his love affair with Nunez, pays off for all concerned. Hard to disagree with the move
  8. Over the last 30 days, Beni is the weakest hitter on the team. That is a prolonged slump.
  9. that may be all he does, getting the one out because the other guys need clean innings. Probably Walden, Workman, Barnes ??
  10. Can't tell you what will happen, but I'm ok with the move.
  11. I can picture AC sitting in his office well before the game saying, " Holt or Nunez ?? Nunez or Holt ? I really like nunie, but let's give Brock a shot tonight." Thanks, Alex
  12. Back to Yaz not winning a Ws title, keep in mind that the Sox went from 1939 through 1989 (less Williams war years) with 3 HoF'ers in LF pounding the ball and never once in those 50 years won a WS. What was it 4 game 7's , plus 2 one game "play-ins' (1948/1978 ? ) and never got over the top. Just goes to show you that with 4 WS titles in the 2000's, we can afford to play Benintendi
  13. Must have been the shock from taking the lead, as I called for the 6th inning
  14. How did that happen. JBay, the mod was on it too
  15. JDM just can't hit it out and be done anymore, LOL. He comes through in ways Beni never will come close to. Beni rolls over so many ground balls to the right side, but with Mookie on second, no outs, he flies out to center.
  16. Jung, I think you may have hit on why it seems Chara is late a lot. Not just age but his size actually works against him. Doesn't matter now, it seems, but good assessment. What was Gretazky's comment long ago, " I don't go where the puck is, I go to where it is going to be"
  17. This is it guys, the big inning where the runs will flow like milk and honey making us all look bad for showing no faith in either LSS or SSS's. Go get'em Red Sox.
  18. I know he is a fan favorite and provided the deadheads with some spark earlier, but Chavis is really in no way ready for this level of pitching. Maybe he can turn it around but for now he's overmatched.
  19. 63 through 4 innings, not bad at all. Could go 7 if efficient in next 2.
  20. Win it for Z. His jaw will heal, but still hurt if they drop a series they should own. BTW, are Marchand and Bergeron suiting up recently. Heinen and Nordstrom may be the two worst puckhandlers and skaters I have ever seen.
  21. Ok, have to compliment Erod for getting out of that problem. A K and a DP were perfect, so on his way to another quality start, but not yet a win. I think the bats will wake up in the 6th.
  22. Albany, Utica, Amsterdam, Canajoharie, Syracuse, Rochester ?? You don't have to identify if you don't want.
  23. As good as the B's looked in Games 1 and 3, they had no clue in #4. Totally outskated and out hustled. It truly looks like a 7 game Cup series.
  24. with 2 on, no outs, time to see if Erod developed cojones in the dugout this time. 2 very cheap OBP contributions.
  25. launch angle my friend. Line drive singles hitters don't get the babes or the runs.
