  1. Nick Pivetta is a brilliant pitcher with a wicked 2 out, 2 strike K pitch. Just a little hook biting into the strike zone. This game is over
  2. All of a sudden, everyone can hit like it is the big leagues
  3. Score 2 runs in two days and tell me you thought you might win . Fatse's got some splainin' to do about his boys.
  4. Back to Back 9-1's at home. A rare feat by a listless team.
  5. Bleier throws 18 pitches, gets one out, gives up multiple hits, HR, runs and generally is not competent for MLB level pitching
  6. Shades of early April returning
  7. Dugo has lost his mojo. He needs to find a way back to the All Star caliber play/hitting he featured in April, early May. Getting too anxious and jumping at bad pitches.
  8. It would be a great outcome to see a 6 run inning by Boston take this otherwise weak night and propel it into space.
  9. That may turn out to be a real possibility and Cora, unbeknownst to us was holding him back , maybe some forearm soreness that wasn't clearing itself up ?
  10. Whoever he was, he didn't last long
  11. Who is this new guy Schreiber ? Might have used him in the Cardinal's series.
  12. Devers breaks through and actually makes 2nd safely, plus the RBI. A major turnaround
  13. Cards , like the Mariners, can hit. The Red Sox cannot do so effectively to score a f'ing run. Bernadino is crap as well. Another Bloom junkyard dog.
  14. Houck about to to be tested thoroughly this inning , but once again , Where are the hitters ? Now shoutout for the prior 14 innings at Fenway. No wall ball HRs, not a sac fly, but a few DPs . There are some phonies in that lineup.
  15. Anybody seen enough yet to know that Tanner Houck needs to be assigned as the 2-3 inning relief specialist?
  16. For a clue on Houck's prospects for a strong winning effort, watch the 2nd time through the lineup to see if anything starts popping
  17. A similar outcome is very much needed to recharge the Nation.
  18. Houck rolls up the first 6 like a cheap area rug. Holding my breath for that 3rd time through. I think Tanner will do well tonight and break his curse.
  19. Devers needs to do push ups until he can carry this team through a tough stretch. Hitting into easy DPs is not the way.
  20. Kike resting a sore hamstring ? I bet his locker is adjacent to Arroyo's so they can share tips on fielding
  21. Score 7-8 runs to make it interesting. A farewell wave to Ryan Brasier who took heaps of abuse from this website but went out there every time Cora called him and tried really hard, just inconsistent in effectiveness. Arenado's bases loaded , excuse me soft single to CF , was the epitome of bad luck. Nolan had to reach well in front of the plate to get that pitch. Ryan will probably catch on with the Angels
  22. Whatever else he does, Cora does have the job of waking up these sleepwalkers before the Seattle series .
  23. Who knew Belier was the answer to a shutdown of the Card's mighty offense ?
  24. Bosox11's comment about the Red Sox team being "absolutely listless" tonight comes very close to describing the mid to late innings efforts . Part of that is blowing 2 losses then watching your BP give up 5 runs in another losing effort.
  25. Maybe it is because McGuire is catching. He looked better when he was hitting.
