  1. I respect your writing and enjoy the detailed thoughts. Anthony is fragile because he has missed chunks of his only 2 seasons so far. That's documented and still A check swing is the perfect example of a player changing their mind mid-pitch...serious case of indecision
  2. It's a small point but if Breslow had moved Duran and then fragile Anthony got injured, as he did, Breslow would have been blamed for not knowing that would happen. Why was Anthony so slow to start and do indecisive that he had to check his swing ?
  3. It is a contractual lock at 40 innings Sox need to work him to insure that provision to the next team. It is not free somebody will pay $13-$14 million for the privilege in 2027 or as provided for in a new CBA. Another reason to .move him now.
  4. The glove is the size of a jai-alai cesta. The OFers have no actual feel for the ball as it hits the glove.. Abreu is a player , but he is not exceptional .
  5. Also Slaten has enough back luck and weak pitching that I do not want to ever see him out there
  6. Actually, I ll go out on a limb and be glad they aren't sweeping because Brez would take it a confirmation that the team has come around. He wouldn't move the ones that should go, including Chapman
  7. Notice that Chapman could not run to back up the stupid throw from the highly regarded RF'er ?
  8. We"ll see if it holds but these 4 pitched games plus a couple before are among the best sequential starts in a long time.
  9. Duran was and always will be his own worst head case, especially when he is going bad , which is all but a few weeks in May this year. He does need to move on. Calling the Angels....
  10. Who is most likely to. be dropped to make room for Romy ? Is there another IL available among the numerous utility IF'ers?
  11. Not exactly the Yanks A lineups. but Red Sox ran 3 rookies at them so far and should win all 3. Maybe go sweeping tomorrow
  12. No matter one's thoughts on analytic reliance , how do Gasper and Yoshida rate a place at the top of the lineup. If they do get on base, neither runs very well, however, note that Yoshi has not been thrown out (SSS) stealing in a long time. Neither has he hit productively in a long time Gasper is out of gas and could have his career highlight reel produced now. Obviously Cheng should be leading off today , not having to wait until the 3rd inning to slam a double off the CF wall.
  13. Good thing they lost 2 of 3 to Rockies otherwise Craig B. would be saying, See, I told you we are on a roll now!
  14. Needs to adjust his swing to avoid dead center or he would have had 2 HRs
  15. So Tolle shuts down the vaunted NYY's for 7 full on a shutout But the BP. specifically Kahnle. gives up a run and craps out the shutout
  16. Mickey is a swell fellow and , darn it, people like him. Amazing how a player can beat MLB over a relativeky short period but will bite your low talent butt given enough repetitions
  17. So you're saying he is available to a pitching/defensive type team
