  1. This looks like a coin flip to me. Slaten, Chapman and Bernardino all available today for relief. Probably Winckowski is first up.
  2. Walker Buehler has mutual option in 2026 for $25M. Would either side accept?
  3. Story's injury history and Bregman possibly opting out, I would hang onto Mayer. Anthony has higher ceiling than our current outfielders Duran, Rafaela and Abreu. Would you give up Anthony, Mayer and Fitts for Paul Skenes of Pittsburgh?
  4. Yankees, Orioles and Rays have lost 2 in a row. Jays four straight. Despite throwing only 51 strikes, Bello was able to give the Sox 97 pitches and 5 innings. I am really anxious to see Giolito pitch next week. We should have Fits back sometime in May. Just need Casas and Duran to heat up a bit. This will be a good team at full strength.
  5. I predict that when Giolito returns next week, Justin Wilson will be sent down and Newcomb will be the long reliever. (lefty for lefty exchange). Chapman, Slaten, Whitlock, Hendriks, Bernardino, Winckowski Why not add Fitts and Dobbins........ That's our best 13 pitchers right now. (when Fitts returns)
  6. I didn't realize Bernardino has picked up a change up that he throws exclusively to right handed batters. It's good to see guys working on a new pitch instead of complaining about demotion.
  7. Good move by Cora coming right back with Hendriks. He needs to pitch.
  8. Good outing by Whitlock. He's not available Wednesday and Thursday. See who comes out in the 9th. We need bullpen help.
  9. Sox with 4 hitters with OPS of .800 or higher. Yankees with 3. Rays with 2. Orioles and Jays with 1 apiece.
  10. Really a bad move by not pinch running for Casas with Romy when he was on 2nd. Cora is a good coach but he's no genius. This is a winnable game. You got to coach to win.
  11. You need a shutdown inning. Bring in Whitlock for 2. Then worry about it......there's chance we may stretch out the lead. You can't lose in middle innings.
  12. Good to know he can do better.....50% strike out rate is subpar.
  13. You have Bernardino warming up and keep Bello vs Lefties?
  14. Romy can play 2B also in addition to 1B.
  15. Is it time to trade Grissom now that he's heating up in the minors? I like Hamilton for his speed as much as anyone else here, but is it enough? Essentially we carry 3 bench players. We need Romy because of Casas. Plus he can play other positions. I see Mayer as a backup for Story getting hurt or next year at 3B if Bregman opts out. Then you have Refsnyder. Unless there's another option at 1B Romy stays. Refsnyder is hitting too well. I can't ever see us parting ways with him. That leaves Hamilton who still has 1 option remaining. Is Grissom better than Hamilton right now?
  16. I didn't realize Bernardino had picked up a change up that he throws exclusively to right handed batters. It's good to see guys working on a new pitch instead of complaining about demotion.
  17. I can usually get a response out of Moon.....lol
  18. Moon, Kelly just got sent down. How would you rank our bullpen arms? This is in order of WHIP (I actually like this and Batting Avg given up) (options remaining) Slaten (3) Bernardino-L (1) Whitlock (3) Winckowski (1) Chapman-L Weissert (1) Wilson-L (0) Hendriks Looks pretty solid.
  19. Zack Kelly sent down, just as I predicted. Pretty predictable. The 30-year-old allowed 10 runs, 12 hits and two walks while striking out 11 in 10 innings (seven outings). Ugh
  20. I'm just trying to entertain you with our 'magic' number.
  21. Pitching I'm assuming Kelly gets sent down when Bello is activated. Crochet, Buehler, Houck, Bello, Newcomb.............Fitts, Dobbins on the wings. Do we move Fitts to the bullpen when Giolitto and Crawford return? Or do we stretch him out and keep in AAA? I really like Fitts. He could be very valuable in the pen as opposed to AAA.
  22. He'll be similar to Duran, who accrued 155 days his 'rookie' year. Anthony will have 4 years of arbitration starting 2028-2031 if he's called up now.
  23. I think someone has to go down today. It should be an easy choice, Kelly. He has struggled all of April. Whitlock has been off 2 days and has only pitched once in last 5 days. He should be ready to pitch 2 innings today. Same goes for Weissert. We need at least 5 from Bello.
