Roman Anthony had three and Marcelo Mayer had two in Triple-A Worcester‘s 7-3 loss to Toledo. The 20-year-old Anthony has a .305/.419/.514/.933 line with five homers, five doubles, one triple, 17 RBIs, 22 runs, 22 walks and 26 strikeouts in 29 games (129 plate appearances). The 22-year-old Mayer has a .268/.323/.491/.814 line with seven homers, four doubles, 34 RBIs, 18 runs, nine walks and 26 strikeouts in 28 games (124 plate appearances). Let's waste their production in AAA while the major league team flounders. Does Brez ever think that he is wasting away $242M in payroll? What if Bregman opts out after a great year? He's a freakin' idiot. It's always wait till the next year with this bunch. -

He's having a horrible year. Black holes.....Rafaela, Hamilton, Wong Anthony, Anthony, Anthony.....Just hang on tight to him at AAA. I can see that he's getting better against inferior competition.

Yep, wake up Brez. He needs to learn what? Production over anything else. You don't think that this #1 prospect is not better than Rafaela? My opinion of Brez is going down fast.

As I have said previously, it's time to bring Anthony/Mayer/Grissom and take down 2 of 3 of Rafaela, Hamilton and Gonzalez. There is NO WAY Anthony is worse than Rafaela. There is NO WAY Mayer is worse than Hamilton. What are you afraid of Brez? We may become a better team?

Nah, we outscored Toronto 18-13 but lost 2 out of 3. We failed numerous time to stretch the 6-0 lead and lost 6-7. We thought early 2-0 was enough offense, again failed to score and lost 2-0. Our offense can be improved by simply calling up Anthony. Their manager said HE HAS NOTHING TO GAIN FROM PLAYING AAA.

What would make me happy? Anthony for Rafaela Mayer for Hamilton (when he gets healthy) Grissom for Gonzalez (Grissom is hot, Gonzalez is cooling) What say you Moon?

He was removed from the lineup due to rib injury from last night. I just want him to rest 15 days so Anthony can come up.

This would be a good time to place Rafaela on IL, make sure his rib injury doesn't get worse and bring up Anthony. -
Among AL starting pitchers, Newcomb is #2 with opposing hitters batting .344. Tanner ranks #5 with opposing hitters batting .319.
