  1. Should this be the 4 that we build the starting staff around based on age? Youngest to the oldest. 26 R Fitts (team controlled 6 years) 26 H Dobbins (team controlled 6 years) 26 G Crochet (team controlled 7 years) 26 B Bello (team controlled 6 years) The you have 29 P Sandoval 29 T Houck 29 K Crawford 31 W Buehler 31 L Giolito
  2. We really need to balance out the lefty/righty situation. Refsnyder's back has been tight since May 1st and he again won't be available tonight against tough lefty. Possible Starters (say Campbell to 1B) Lefties, Devers, Casas, Abreu, Duran, Anthony, Mayer, Hamilton Righties, Campbell, Story, Bregman, Rafaela, Wong, Gonzalez, Narvaez
  3. Cubs, Tigers and Mariners.....good read, thanks.
  4. "Sogard has hit just .188 with six doubles, 10 RBIs and a .562 OSP in 28 games for the WooSox this year but provides versatility (he has played all four infield positions and right field) and a switch-hitting bat." Brez/Cora is okay with this call up (albeit injury to Gonzalez), but just can't find a way to promote Anthony/Mayer. And Cora says Refsnyder is also banged up. Unreal. Brez/Cora are digging their own hole.
  5. Royals and the Tigers have given up the fewest runs in AL. Ugh.
  6. Only reliever not to appear last night was Hendriks. No doubt that reinforcement is arriving today. WRONG.
  7. Whitman, he just pitched yesterday. 24 pitches, only 13 strikes. Maybe we'll get lucky.
  8. Royals have only scored 139 runs (10th in AL) but given up only 123 runs (1st)
  9. Bregman is 2 years and 7 months older than Devers. I'd suggest extending Bregman and trading Devers, and getting rid of his annual tax payroll of $30M. It can be completed after the season is over. Devers is not happy with the management. Let's just hope he has a great season so that the Sox will attract several suitors. Bring up Anthony and Mayer and sign a free agent 1B. We don't have much money vested in Casas so we can be patient. I would not give him long leash. Produce or be cut next time around. The DH spot can be rotated using starting position players plus Refsnyder.
  10. MassLive also had a similar article. This is a bigger problem than we've been led to believe. It maybe time to move him. This won't end will.
  11. Hendriks get through 8/9th innings on 19 pitches. Saved Chapman from pitching.
  12. Dobbins, Crochet and Giolito vs the Royals this weekend.
  13. 23 pitches for Whitlock to get out of the inning. A hit and walk.
  14. Very efficient offense. 4 Hits, 4 BBs, 4 runs.
  15. Nothing really has changed with Bello. 83 pitches thrown, 44 strikes. 5 walks, many deep counts. I loved it that Cora took him out before Bello can go 5. Cora is telling him it's time to grow up, son.
  16. Unfortunate that this 3 along with Chapman were considered 'closer' possibilities.
  17. It's Hendriks, Whitlock, Slaten bullpen day. Coin flip for this threesome.
  18. Interesting that Bregman was quoted as saying he wants to play 10 more years.
  19. Wow, thanks. Tolle is #13 for Red Sox, Clarke is #19. They have both been featured somewhere recently, Tolle multiple times. Tolle has enormous wingspan, "elite extension of 7'4" or more". Clarke touches 100 and has developed 6 pitches. 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 19 in Sox Prospect List are all pitchers.
  20. My Team with What we have and shedding payroll burden, Story and Yoshida 1B Devers 2B Rafaela SS Mayer 3B Bregman LF Anthony CF Duran RF Abreu D Refsnyder C Narvaez
