With automatic runner on second on top of the 10th, why in the hell would you pitch to Judge? He was eventually walked but why take the chance? Am I dumb? -
One of the best seasons ever for me because of Bres bringing up youngsters to play in the big leagues. Early makes his third start tonight. Harrison made his first start yesterday. Tolle has been relegated to the pen but he made three starts. Hunter Dobbins had started eleven times. Not a rookie, but Fitts started ten times. It would please me if Bello gets relegated to #6 status because of these young guns. It just means we've upgraded our starting rotation. Bello needs an opener.

And Detroit finishes with 3 at Cleveland and 3 at Fenway. It's going to get interesting.

I wonder why the geniuses Cora and the pitching staff has not consider using an Opener for Bello. I mean what do we have to lose? His worst inning is inning #1. What the hell difference does it make if the first reliever pitches the first inning or the fourth after Bello has thrown 92 pitches?

Cleveland at Detroit for 2 and Texas at Houston for 2. At worst it should be a split. We have a chance to win the next two (three).

But the day off is good for the Sox pitching staff. Looks like we'll go with Early, Giolito and Bello followed by Crochet either G1 or G2 vs Tampa Bay. We'll need another starter for G1 or G2. G3 if everything goes well we then get back to Early. -

Rangers and Guardians are in a virtual tie, 79-71 vs 79-72. The Guardians have a tougher schedule on paper, playing the Tigers 6 times and the Rangers 3 times. If the Rangers can beat up on the Astros, they have a chance to take over the Sox. They play 3 vs the Marlins and 3 vs the Twins. Then they finish against the Guardians. The Rangers are still pitching tough.....on our heels. I think the Astros are safe. Their schedule is much easier. -
We need to sweep the A's.

If you don't think being injury prone is not part of Refs consideration for retirement, you are an idiot. You think guys retire because they don't want to play anymore? Why wouldn't they want to play anymore? Probably because they are not physically keeping up with their skill set of younger years. Are you really comparing Story's injuries to Refsnyder? Outfielder Rob Refsnyder was out of the lineup Monday after slamming into the Chase Field turf on a diving catch attempt late in Sunday’s win. It's really time for Refs to retire after the season. One dive and he's hurt. Love his bat but he keeps taking up valuable spot on the roster. Hell I don't think Bregman is 100%.

1st out of playoff race is Texas, 5 games back of the Sox. Texas hosts Brewers next, Hopefully the Brewers will slow down the Texans. Then they travel to Mets and Houston..
