  1. I would still trade Duran and minor leaguers for Joe Ryan. Just think about it. He can help us THIS YEAR. Then follow up with 3 more years of team control. I'd empty the farm for this guy (non pitchers). Throw in Kristian Campbell while you're at it (along with some spending money)
  2. Rangers travel to LAA and Seattle for 6. Then come home to face the Yankees and the Phillies for 6. Someone needs to cool them off.
  3. Narvaez turned out to be a big pickup. He looks confident at the plate. His winter ball experience has really paid off......
  4. We will have taken in close to $1Trillion in 12 months in tariff revenue. I will bet you there will be no effect on inflation. Most think that tariff is priced on $200 Nike shoes (whatever the retail is). Tariff is charged on the wholesale price. Using slave/child labor in China, I bet it's less than $20 to produce a Nike shoes. 30% on $20 is only $6. How many Nike shoes do you buy in a year. Skip a McDonald lunch and you got it covered. Not to mention the Chinese government will devalue their currency to drive the price down further. Speaking of McDonalds, Californians in fast food industry has lost thousands of employees. Thank you $20 minimum wage. Good intentions does not always mean good results. I am not into 'politics' but I am into 'math'. Some idiot is spewing that inflation is 'up'. We're not interested in 'inflation' going up. It will always go up. I've had to deal with several contracts that has escalator clause on the revenue side based on CPI's and any other government metrics are out there. It's the rate of increase that's our concern. Simply to proclaim "it went up by 0.1% is NOT relevant. My life will be perfect if JH gets us some help within a week. I'll young people figure out the world they want to live in.......my group of friends are just living out the dream......playing golf, traveling and going to doctors.
  5. Tampa Bay now 3 1/2 games out of playoffs with the Yankees coming up. Our chances of getting Yandy Diaz improve as they struggle. He is under contract through 2027.
  6. Not very often you win when your opponent has 42-30 plate appearance advantage.
  7. Better get used to Hicks. He is our closer for next two years. We ain't paying him $12M to pitch the fifth inning.
  8. NESN guy says keep an eye on the Texas game....hey bud, Texas is up 8-1 over Atlanta in the bottom of 8th. Quit saying stupid things. That's two nights in a row.
  9. Roman Anthony now leads the Sox with OBP of .382....leading off seems logical? Really would love to see him work on 'lifting' the ball a bit for 2026.
  10. Jim Cramer is not right very often.....Tariffs will cause inflation? Yep, that's happening.
  11. Connor Wong starts has lead to 11-16 record for the Sox.
  12. Give it a rest. He was 0-30 with runners in scoring position. Tell me in what planet that stat line works? Just you.
  13. Tampa Bay is not trailing Texas. They are both 1 1/2 games behind the Sox. Our Sox announcers spew tons of erroneous information. Very unprofessional.
  14. Yoshida needs to improve his slugging %. I don't give a damn about sample size. We can't have a DH with .333 slugging %. Compare that with Gonzalez's team leading .544. Are you telling me that he just can't hit right handed pitchers? I rather Gonzalez DH than Yoshida. To me, he only plays because of his contract.
  15. Despite Dodgers' $407M luxury tax payroll, they are not a shoe in this year. Their starting pitching seems a bit shaky against playoff teams.
  16. The biggest thing Bres can do is to extend Bregman. Give the man what he wants.
  17. I have pretty much given up on us getting anything significant at the trade deadline. Bres thinks he can go with what we have.......well good luck.
  18. i don't really care much about our position players, other than the high ceiling guys. If there's not a Mayer or Anthony in the group, I rather just trade them. I'm only interested in pitching, especially starting pitching. Which means right now only Payton Tolle has any hold on me. You can get a short term rentals at the positionals. Hell we have Narvaez, Mayer, Anthony, Rafaela, Duran and Abreu in our 'window' of opportunity for playoff spots. With Crochet's 6 year deal through 2031 and Bello deal that runs through 2030 (club option), I am going with the window of opportunity for 6 years starting 2026. That's 6 positional players out of 9, not withstanding possible extension for Bregman. Hell, it shouldn't be that difficult for Bres to build a contender. I will give him a pass for this year but NO MORE. He and Cora should be fired if they don't get into the playoffs in 2026. No excuses.
  19. I hate Yoshida. Just taking away at bats from someone else.
