  1. Probably he'll have another set back. August/September of 2026.
  2. I keep thinking there's something special about Bres, but no. He's just a another guy earning a paycheck. I went nuts over Bres not promoting Anthony to the major leagues. When it happened, he struggle but we kind of knew that he was the real deal. His triple A manager said "Anthony has nothing more to learn at AAA". Yeah that's what he said, Meanwhile the Ivy League sissy, Bres, continued to spew lies about Anthony. He needed this and that....He can learn more...... How many games did we lose by not promoting him sooner? I KNOW THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT FELT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED UP. THE SAME GOES FOR MAYER. HE HAD A GREAT SPRING TRAINING. HE WAS PROVEN DEFENSIVE PLAYER. So I give Bres a grade of C. For every Crochet, he has come up with 3 duds. For life of me, I don't have any idea why Yoshida is still in our lineup. He rolls more balls to second baseman than my grandmother who baked 24/7.
  3. I think he will play again, hopefully for Red Sox. Just not sure if he will be ready on opening day. What happened to that guy that won't bet me $100?
  4. Ken Rosenthal, The Athletic “Epic fail. Comes off an epic fail at last year’s deadline with Craig Breslow and this was an epic fail as well. ... The Red Sox are one of many teams that uses modeling and tries to figure out what the best values are, and it’s all about efficiency and getting the best deal and this and that and the other thing. As some point, you’ve gotta fire.” Glad I'm not the only one........I am not into violence at all. But I would like to throw a rock at a brick wall somewhere at Fenway, no property destruction, away from anything live....is that bad?
  5. Let see, in 2026 we'll go with the rotation of 1 Crochet 2 Bello 3 Kutter 4 Sandoval 5 Houck Brez will say he'll acquire some help at the trading deadline. There goes another missed playoffs.
  6. Breslow is just a big time wimp.....there's really no other word for him. No imagination. Just want to hang on to players so we can finish just out of the playoffs. I wished I had money to buy the Sox. He'd be first to go.
  7. we have a winner.....that's such a BS. They think we're stupid.
  8. Understood. But Cora seems enamored with Alcala and Hicks velocity. Damn the control.
  9. Sox wanted hard throwers in the pen. Murphy does not throw 98-100.
  10. My suggestion for Bres and rest of analyst is to just SHUT THE F UP. Why say anything at all if you can't deliver? There's a big difference between saying we'll be buyers versus what you really mean is we will buy if the price is CHEAP AND we snickered the trading partner. God I hate it when they open their mouth. Just go open your wallet for another injured player that will help us next year.
  11. My ONLY issue with Casas is that he probably won't be ready in April/May. And if he has his traditional slow start, well....now we're at trade deadline in 2026. This injury really set him back.
  12. We all want the same thing. Just have difference of opinion on how to get there. I always think in terms of 'window of opportunity' based on player controlled years. I do believe our clock starts no later than April 1, 2026, coinciding with Crochet's 6 year contract and the player controlled years of Anthony, Mayer, Campbell, Rafaela, Narvaez, Abreu and Duran. But if we can sneak one in this year, I'm not opposed to it. No trading high level starting pitching prospects. We need everyone of them.
  13. I know this sounds preposterous, do we tinker during off season to work in Anthony at 1B? That would allow the team to maintain our 3 outfielders, Duran, Rafael and Abreu. I would sign Bregman and go after Schwarber as a DH. That would be a heck of starting line up. Getting a full time 1B really doesn't improve the team next year if one of 4 outfielders has to sit.
  14. I would hang onto our top starting pitching prospects but everyone else would be tradeable.
  15. He was a rule 5 candidate. Better to get something now and lose out on everything just because we don't have a room in 40 man roster. Remember that all the 60 day IL guys come back to the 40 man roster in off season. (can someone fact check on this?)
  16. Hey Hitch, Sox needs to do MORE than what the Phillies are doing. We are close to getting into the playoffs. Then what? A hope and a prayer? We will have wasted one year of production from 26 players on the roster if we don't do everything we can to improve our chance of success. That probably means nothing to you. We think differently.
  17. Very much, but if we are switching out Matz for Bernardino, it's only a good move if Bernardino is pitching poorly because of over usage.
  18. MassLive believes Matz will simply replace Bernardino for now. Apparently Bernardino is overtaxed and needs a break. Matz has pitched well against the lefties but this move seems like a side way deal. It's hard for me to get excited about. Typical Red Sox GM move. Meanwhile in Philadelphia, THE REAL MAN is improving his playoff bound team. Bunch of Ivy League sissies in Sox organization. Get me a man.
  19. I don't know if we have enough bullets, but Cease, Duran and 1B man would get us to the promised land, me thinks. I'm okay with emptying the farm as long as they are not pitchers.
  20. I certainly don't think Crochet is being babied. I did not see that second article. My bad.....it just seem weird that they had TBD. That was me being stupid.
  21. With Cease, it's worth it to give up a high level, positional prospect for a rental. No pitchers though. We have enough, young positional players. It's worth gambling on a starting pitcher that can give us a lift.
  22. Per Mass Live Friday, 7:10 p.m. ET — RHP Hunter Brown (9-5, 2.54 ERA) vs. TBA Saturday, 4:10 p.m. ET — LHP Colton Gordon (4-3, 4.74 ERA) vs. RHP Walker Buehler (6-6, 5.72 ERA) Sunday, 11:35 a.m. ET — LHP Framber Valdez (11-4, 2.62 ERA) vs. RHP Lucas Giolito (7-2, 3.80 ERA) How can they be so stupid? I think that TBA is Crochet......Buehler pitches after Crochet. Lazy writers.
  23. Giants in spiral since Rafael Devers trade as postseason chances dwindle...we are lucky not to have him on our team.....who will want to play with him? He went from friendly hitting ball park to spacious Giants Stadium.
