  1. Just get rid of him.....I just don't want to see the most unathletic guy in the major league baseball. He is 12-54 this year.
  2. With everything from the lower box seats to the grandstands to the back row of the bleachers to most of the standing room areas occupied, manager Alex Cora’s team improved to 16-2 at home since June 30, and 23-5 since June 4. Well that explains it.....
  3. We are now tied for second place with the Mets for winning home record, +18 games. Toronto leads the majors with +19 home game winning record. What a turn around.....fans are having fun again. And that's a big deal.
  4. I do want to thank the White Sox for taking care of Crochet. Starting July 6, 2024, in 12 starts, he never pitched more than 4 innings. Last year in 32 starts, he exceeded 100 pitches only twice. This year he already has 12 games with 100 or more pitches. I like it that he has not pitched since July 26th. He should be somewhat rested.
  5. Our closest wildcard competitor is Texas, right now 4 games behind us. They have 2 more versus the Yankees and then the Phillies. We do go to San Diego but we have a chance to put some distance between us with Crochet going tonight.
  6. I am pretty sure Matz replaced Bernardino. Alcala was not in the equation.
  7. Not sure who to root for tonight between the Yanks and the Rangers. I want the Sox to distance themselves from the Rangers but you know, I like to kick the Yanks when they are down.
  8. 60 pitches after 3 innings. I've never met Bello or Williams. I doubt they give a damn in what I have to say.
  9. I'm not going to go nuts over this but Bello just is not efficient. He had 7 pitches after 2 outs in the first. He then goes ahead 0-2, which turns into a 9/10 pitch. His pitch count is 35 after 2 innings. Not horrendous but I wished he'd focus and do something about closing out the hitters. He's no Crochet.
  10. Giolito is only 30 at year end. That 140 innings is going to be close. He only needs 44 1/3 innings. He'll get at least 9 more starts, maybe 10. I want to see him back.
  11. that can't be right....MLB season is 187 days. He needs to be on the active or injured list for 172 day. His first at bat was on May 24th. The season had already elapsed 30+days. He was not going to lose anything unless he won the Rookie of the Year or top 3 in MVP (that one I am guessing). You maybe getting confused with 'his rookie season was official with 3 more bats". He'll be considered a rookie again next year.
  12. How come Falter does not show up on MLB stat line for KC?
  13. Just needs to keep his mouth shut about trading deadline acquisitions and winter acquisitions. Just let it happen. Never promise something you can't deliver...
  14. When our guys get hurt, they seem to have trouble getting healthy. Who knew Slaten would be out this long?
  15. A whip of 0.74 plus 37K/7BB is very impressive. A major leaguer has to throw strikes. Period. I hate guys that come out and walk the first batter. No no no no....learn to throw strikes.
  16. A side note, mlb.com has Mariners ahead of Sox in their weekly ranking. What the hell? We are two games up on the Mariners. Ugh.
  17. I haven't even look at who the Rule 5 casualties will be this winter. I would love to see Criswell pitch one more time. Ride the hot hand.
  18. We are up 4 games on the Texas Rangers, who is next in line to join the party. They play the Yankees next, who should be pissed off after the debacle at Miami. One thing this season has done for me is that I have seen quite a few Sox players in the majors. We definitely have developed depth. Only problem is many of them are hurt and can't help us. So Mayer maybe another casualty. Perhaps we'll see Grissom again. Oh well.....paddle on.
  19. I'm surprised Bres hasn't discussed extension talks with Chapman. He looks like he has a couple of more years in his tank.
  20. My only issue is when Mayer comes back, I rather see the tandem of Refsnyder/Abreu-Anthony combo at DH. If you're not going to trade Abreu, you got to play him. I have no use for Yoshida.
  21. All 9 batters in this game has OPS > .700. Bregman and Gonzalez at .916.
  22. He just sucks......you can't walk guys. One run homer will never hurt. JH and Ivy League sissy Bres are just happy threading water.
  23. Surprise that our super duper analytical staff didn't see that....... So is this what you see? (by controlled years starting in 2026) 1 Crochet-6 2 Bello-5 3 Dobbins-5 4 Fitts-5 5 Criswell-4 6 Harrison-4 7 Kutter-3 8 Houck-2 9 Sandoval-1 10 Tolle 6+ (#1 prospect) 11 Perales 6+ (#3 prospect) 12 Witherspoon (#4 prospect) 13 Clarke (#6 prospect) 14 Early (#8 prospect) 15 Sandlin (#9 prospect)
