Would they? Simple question - would Dombrowski have traded Betts? He showed he was not able to sign him, and per Mookie didn’t even try to. But if DD doesn’t make that trade, Betts leaves, no Verdugo, no Wong and Price would have been on the team last season…

I’m not sold on small sample sizes for his pop. He’s a career .396 SLG with a .153 ISO. He can pop a bit I suppose. But he’s a limited hitter. If you’re looking for a RH hitter, Bader is probably not the guy. But I like him because he’s a good overall ballplayer and a big defensive step up…

Assuming anyone else would give him a full time job. Boston might be his best fit. And if the Sox move Verdugo or Duran, Duvall has a clearer path to starting full time than he would on most teams…

I don’t think I’m going out on a weak limb when I state that there is zero chance Stanton and his 4 year $118 remaining contract will not be limited to a weak side platoon role at DH…

Duvall is actually a pretty good fit given his right-handed power and that he has the defensive skillset to handle RF at Fenway better than most other available options…
