    Tracy hasn’t had any Morgan Moments. Early in that streak, Morgan pulled Mike Greenwell, who was the MVP runner-up that year (or MVP winner, non-steroid division) so sub.200 hitting Kevin Romine could pinch run for him. Romine stayed in te game and hit a 9th inning walk off home run in the 9th. Who pulls a player having an MVP-caliber season for a pinch runner before the ninth, only to insert the guy that hits the walk off? Guessing that was an MLB first…

    I think the Sox do, unless they upgrade JJ. But otherwise 1. Duran is already here and despite his weak BA and OPS, is still third on the team in HR and RBI (and it took a recent surge from Abreu to push him back to third in both). 2. Jones means Duran doesn’t have to face LHP (career OPS .614). 3. Trading for a LF might be wasteful if Anthony returns 4. It’s not like Duran has never hit before. So yeah, very likely….

    I see LF and maybe 2b. I liked Taylor Ward but Baltimore might be back as a buyer. Steer is nice because he plays both positions. And by “plays” I mean he knows where they are and can limit the number of times he embarrasses himself out there. Mead is no defensive whiz either but he as come a long way ss a hitter…
