  1. It was around 3.3 before his last start; that’s pretty good in today’s game.
  2. He's still only pitched 4 innings since he was cleared to throw, 1 at Pawtucket and 3 with Boston. The stuff is there, the command isn't. That will come with reps. Right now Eovaldi isn't ready to close,
  3. Don’t have to; I know what they mean. Everyone has eidetic memory to some extent; it’s how long you retain the images that differentiate between degrees.
  4. Eidetic or photographic? They are different.
  5. Wasn’t watching close enough to see if Eovsldi was shaking him off or not. Interesting that Eovsldi came in with 2 curves right after LaVange came out. Either way, Vazquez has never impressed me with his game calling.
  6. He is, I think that’s now 4 innings he’s pitched since being cleared; 1 in Pawtucket and 3 in Boston.
  7. Nothing but fastballs. Got to throw something else once in a while.
  8. Oh, okay. Thought I had missed a roster move.
  9. So long as it’s called that way both ways, I’m okay with it. Ump has had a wide outside corner today, but it’s been wide for both teams.
  10. To be fair, his only post in the game thread said he was working today.
  11. Been a long time since I’ve seen 2 sac flies in one inning.
  12. I’d like to see Barnes come back out for the 7th.
  13. Fox guys were just saying that ERod and CC are both natural righthanders. They relayed the story that when ERod was about 7, he was messing around with his brothers on a rainy day, slipped and broke his arm. Rather than waiting for it to heal, he just started throwing lefty. Never had heard that before.
  14. I cited no specific members of this board.
  15. If some of them had their way, we’d be watching the Lowell Spinners and they’d want most of them gone too.
  16. Patience is not an attribute of many posters here.
  17. They did not play in one in the 1900s or the 1910s either. Yes, they were known as the Highlanders for about a decade after they moved from Baltimore after the 1902 season, but they were known as the Yankees for most of those teens. Now, it would be accurate to say that should they miss this year, it would be the first decade they haven't played in one since some form of Yankee Stadium has existed.
  18. Also tied for 3rd most all-time with ARod, Mark McGwire, Carlos Delgado, Joe Carter and Dave Kingman. Johnny Mize and Sammy Sosa each did it 6 times. Still hard to believe that Ortiz never had one.
  19. I’m wondering if they are looking at a platoon type situation at first and left with Travis. Between Moreland, Hernandez, Holt and Beni, they have no right handed options.
  20. One more tidbit: This is the most runs the Sox have ever scored in a game against the Yankees. This is game 2,202 between them.
  21. Cora with a modest Kevin Cash inning: Sandy Leon now catching. Vazquez to first. Travis to left. Benintendi to center. Bradley Jr. to right.
  22. Another MLB Network tidbit Judge has never hit a ball against or over the Monster. 68 career ABs.
