  1. Robles did his job. Richards was good for one inning. Ottavino suddenly remembered he was once a Yankee.
  2. Okay, the Sox are guaranteed to pick up one game on either the Yankees or the Blue Jays this week (who play each other). So we will either be tied with the New York or two up on the Jays going to Washington. And that’s if they get swept in Baltimore.
  3. Should have been out once and could have been out twice.
  4. Even Swihart’s Ghost didn’t offer that sick a suggestion. Take a step back and relax; it’s a game.
  5. His OP was talking about ph for Vazquez; Vazquez didn’t even hit that inning.
  6. It’s a 2-1 game. But the Yankees do have superior pitching. Just have to hope Boone overmanages and uses somebody who doesn’t have it tonight.
  7. Holmes looked nasty there. Need Chapman in the game.
  8. They hadn’t hit yet when I posted that. It was try at the time. If you’d said Rafi’s single was harder, okay.
  9. You just described what aces do. ERod is no ace. He’s a 3-4 at best.
  10. Got to wonder how well Plawecki even is tonight. He had to be taken out after getting drilled yesterday.
  11. To be fair, he absolutely drilled that ball to a bad spot.
  12. Might have been the hardest hit ball the Sox have had tonight. Naturally it’s tight at LaMahieu. Damn.
  13. They are looking for that change up this inning. Vazquez isn’t smart enough to recognize it. Ortiz noticed it right away, LaMahieu didn’t even offer at a hittable fastball.
  14. Just saying what ERod has been this year. When he’s faced adversity, he has folded a lot. That said, LaMahiu hit a pretty good pitch for that single.
  15. ERod’s got to be strong here. First adversity, not a situation he generally does not deal well with. Here we go, implosion starting.
  16. Schwarber doesn’t turn that DP in the first; he may not have fielded it at all (assuming you wanted him in for Dalbec).
  17. Watching when Devers took off, I could see why they did it; it wasn’t that clear cut, although it’s usually got to be pretty obvious to call it. Bogie’s was definitely bush.
  18. Didn’t appear to; thought that followed by the base hit off the bag might, but he came back nicely against Gallo.
  19. Hope that fire alarm doesn’t throw ERod off.
  20. You were fine until the last line. Keep the politics out of here.
  21. You can admire it and still be pissed that it happened. Lets face it, it was a no doubter. Painful as it was to watch, it was far preferable to some dinky fly ball down the line that scrapes the Pesky pole or a Bucky Bleeping Dent type "blast" that drops into the first row of the monster seats. And it could have been worse, it could have been penis head (Gardner).
  22. Well he’s been there forever.
  23. Walking Judge is not the worst result. Walking Gardner was bad, especially when he had him 1-2.
  24. I’d have much rather seen that next inning.
