  1. Pivetta’s had a couple of those tonight. Ump hasn’t missed one of Manoah’s pitches. Tapia continues to be a PITA.
  2. Pivetta’s got his work cut out for him tonight; Manoah looks nasty.
  3. Tyler knew Houck’s status; d-money is the one who somehow didn’t know.
  4. You really are an idiot. Do you watch games? Do you read articles? Do you read anything here? This has been discussed ad nauseum for months.
  5. That beer league softball player is hitting over .300 and likely headed to the All Star Game.
  6. Need to work on your iambic pentameter;)
  7. Too close to the end of the bat.
  8. Tough call. The lefty Tapia leads off but then 3 straight very tough righties after that.
  9. At least that time he was in something resembling standard 2nd base position
  10. Interesting use of Schreiber here in the 7th.
  11. He wasn’t going to keep hitting .370, we all knew that. But he really hasn’t been making decent contact for a while now. He’s gotten hits, but a lot of them have been pretty soft.
  12. Another effing shift hit.
  13. Tapia’s beginning to remind me of Bret Gardner, a PITA against the Sox.
  14. JD really looks like he could use a day or 2 off.
  15. That’s not a DP you see very often, like never.
  16. They seem to have done a lot of that vs. the Sox this year.
  17. Weird game. Arroyo pops it foul 2 feet further and Guerrero Jr. doesn’t make that catch; who knows what happens from there. Contrast with the first inning, Chapman fouls it 6 inches less, Cordero makes the catch and the 2 run double never happens. Heck, does the 6’4” Dalbec make that catch vs. the 6’3” Cordero. Plus how many ground ball hits can the Jays get?
  18. Raffie needs to put that bunt down once in a while. Heck, if he bunted it hard enough, he’d probably have a double.
  19. I didn’t read it until this morning. Got a few pages in and then remembered I have SG on ignore. Once I logged in, it cleared things up, but there were several pages where nothing appeared. Just have to remember to log in.
  20. I just hope this game thread stays readable. Last night's 200 post version had to be close to 50% the rantings of one completely unhinged lunatic.
  21. Per the CBA, he does not get paid for any games in Toronto. Based on his $716K salary, he's giving up roughly $45K in salary due to his vaccination status. Houck also accrues no service time for those same games.
  22. Starting Monday (June 20), teams will be limited to 13 active pitchers. Red Sox are currently at 14. Who is going? My guesses are Robles either to the DL or DFAd, or Sawamura optioned.
  23. Most years the worst team in baseball will win about 1/3 of their games. That’s exactly where the A’s are at 21-42.
  24. They referenced the following on the telecast last night: Since they were swept by the White Sox Mother’s Day weekend, the Sox have gone 23-10. That’s a.697 percentage (112 win pace over a full season). They have lost 2 1/2 games in the standings as the Yanks have gone 26-8.
