    I’ve got the Sox radio broadcast synced up via Sirius XM and ESPN on silent; much more enjoyable. It’s a little behind, but it’s worth the delay.

    I thought that initially as well, but they were highlighting the win or go home games, which did occur in 1949, 1978, 2003 and 2004.

    Robles has pitched four straight high stress days; doubt he’s really available. Ditto Brasier.

    One thing of concern with using Pivetta to close this out; he often has first inning problems.

    Exactly, he’s fine as your 4/5 guy (preferably 5). He’s been asked to fill the 3 slot for much of this year, which is above his pay grade

    Any games played to break ties are considered part of the regular season, so he can play in those. He is not eligible for the actual WC games or anything subsequent to those.

    With the new contract, Barnes isn’t going anywhere. But his tole will be more of a 7th inning guy.

    Yeah, it’s baseball. Truthfully though, it shows why it’s hard as hell to sweep any team. It just is. If they have to play tomorrow, it’s because they didn’t take care of business in Baltimore.

    Would have been a tough play since he’s a lefty, but yes, there was a decent shot (provided Vaz catches the ball). Easier play for a right hander.

    In thinking back, Sale was never the same after that stumble on the mound. Have to wonder if he tweaked something. Not an excuse, just wondering.

    There are no words to describe Verdugo’s performance today. I would very seriously consider putting Iglesias in at second, moving Kike to center, Renfroe to right and JD to left. It won’t happen because of the short bench.
