  1. Agreed. As you pointed out, Arias offers the best chance at helping, even if it's a long shot.
  2. You gotta think Arias will rise in the summer rankings, unless he flops over the next month or two.
  3. Woo won 10-4. Gamboa did not do well, but the staff had 13 Ks. Sogard 1-3 w 2BBs, Eaton 2-3 w BB & 3B and Capra 1-3 w 2BB & 2B. The Arias homer watch was a success. He homered in his last AB. (He also doubled.) His OPS is now 1.452.
  4. Maybe...maybe not... AAV $42M x 2 Wheeler (36 years old) $30M x 5 Nola (33) $30M x 5 Schwarber (33) $27M x 8 Turner (33) $27M x 5 ('27-'31) Luzardo (29) $25M x 6 Harper (33) (They have 6 other players between $9 & 18M, including 35 year old Realmuto.)
  5. I have and had no issue with that position. It has and had merit. You made your position known back then, forcefully, and I jumped to claim you were a Cora-hater. Once you called me out, I immediately apologized. You've brought it up dozens of times, since then as the singular event where I misrepresented what you said. There was a time a couple years back you mistook a post from someone else as something I said, and despite me pointing it out to you, you doubled down, tripled down, then instead of just saying you made a simple mistake like all of us have and apologizing, you called me a nitpicker. Your common deflection mecahanism. Of all the times you have claimed my position as being the opposite of what it was, assigned absurd motivations for my positions that couldn't be farther from the truth, and all the times I pointed them out, you have never once apologized to me. I could be wrong, but I think you have only admitted a mistake once, and that was like a week ago. I find it very interesting that years ago I said you were a Cora hater, despite you never saying it, and now you see it as a compliment. It does make me wonder, if I was wrong back then about your true feelings. I know I was wrong about what I said. I'll say I'm sorry again.
  6. Some WOO OPS (listed in order of most ABs- 30+) .711 Romero .723 Campbell .677 Eaton .806 Sogard .620 Castro .982 Gasper .944 Cheng .859 Capra .778 Ward .939 Delay
  7. I doubt JH would pay the Tatis contract (goes to 2034.)
  8. 1. Duran LF 2. Rafaela CF 3. Yoshida DH 4. Contreras 1B 5. Abreu RF 6. Story SS 7. Mayer 2B 8. Durbin 3B 9. Narvaez C I wonder if Anthony is available to PH.
  9. You lead the league in coming to wrong conclusions over posts, and never admit it or apologize. So, now you see me calling you a Cora hater as a compliment. It makes me wonder, if I was really wrong back then.
  10. I admited I jumped to a conclusion that you now claim was a compliment. Talk about behind a curtain. I apologized for being wrong- something you have never done, and you are wrong daily.
  11. ...and other teams will hit less? LMAO
  12. Sometimes RBIs when you are ahead turn out to be needed, especially with our pen.
  13. So saying you were a Cora hater is now a compliment? Too funny. Dig the hole deeper.
  14. His hyper-loyalty to vets that clouds his decision- making, gives the appearance that he's doing nothing, In a way, he's not. Status quo is fine when it's working. What does he do when it's not working? Then again, we have posers upset at him for trying our too many different line-ups and alignments. When you lose, it seems like nothing you do can ever be viewed as right.
  15. It's hard to know if the best manager in the history of MLB can do much to help some slumping batters. This is not a defense of Cora.
  16. And the bottom 12-15 slots on the 40 sucked.
  17. Not when he had Durbin batting 2nd for 5 straight games?
  18. Well said. Durbin's.... Pull%: 43% MIL> 52% BOS Hard Hit: 27%>32% BB%: 5%>8% It's hard to make these numbers jive, unless you look at LD%: 19%>13%
  19. I used to say Ben has a 5 year plan and lasted 4 years.
  20. No need to: he was handed a highly ranked (over-ranked as it turned out, but he traded the overhyped ones) and solid 40 man roster. When he took over the team, we were just a handful of slots away from greatness. How many slots did Bloom have to fill after the great purge?
  21. I'm not claiming great value. The bar is set very low, here.
