  1. Could it be that one of the worst batters on the team, who was leading the team in games played and PAs was just given a day off in the middle of 13 games in 13 days? He probably should have already had a couple other days off.
  2. Woo got the win. Anderson looked good in 4IP (3H 0ER 0BB 4K) Eaton went 3-3 with HR, BB and 2B. POR won as Mullins pitched 2 hit shutout ball over 5 IP but had 5BB & 5K. Baez homered and Arias went 1-4. GRE won 10-7 in 10 IP, despite walking 11 batters. GRE walked 11 times, too. Gonzales went 3-5 w HR. Tucker homered, too. SAL was the only team in the organization to lose, and they lost 7-0. D Reyes did not do well.
  3. Ward was activated from suspended list for Woo. Sena sent from Woo to POR. GRE: Ehrlicher to 7-day IL. Tucker promoted from Salem. SAL: Harry Blum takes Tucker's place. Friday: Sansone POR>Woo Kirwin POR>GRE (on rehab) and Labriola GRE>POR Brandon Neely SAL>GRE Mambel & Gilman added to SAL roster
  4. Sonny Gray remains on track to start May 6th. Slaten is due for bullpen session April 28th. Crawford & Sandoval have been pulled from rehabbing with no timelines. Casas, Oviedo, Romy & Houck remain on the 60.
  5. These guys have mostly had 10+ years to "learn fundamentals." One could argue, it might be too late to effect a big improvement, and certainly it can't be done overnight.
  6. Two wins in a row! We have yet to win 3 straight, this year. At TOR tomorrow night!
  7. As much as people have question the line-up choices, this kinda points to Anthony batting first as not being the major issue: OBP 1st Slot Team: .331 .354 Anthony .167 Duran (in 10 PAs, Ceddanne is at .400.)
  8. ...the Yoshida signing didn't help either. Nor Richards, Kluber, Paxton, Buehler, Hendriks, Giolito, Sandoval...
  9. I'm not trying to stop it. I've often joined in the bashing. You are wrong again on my meaning and motivation for this post. It's not crying. It's not an attempt to stop the bashing.
  10. That was precisely what I was thinking about when I wrote that. These guys are damned if they "try" and damned if they don't. The same people who wanted 2 from Bichette, Bregman and Alonso want Brez fired.
  11. Contreras has been pulling his weight. Who was the lousy GM acquired him, instead of paying out the nose for Alonso?
  12. Monasterio might be better at SS than Story, too. IKF is better at SS than Story. Use the platoon at SS, then.
  13. Mayer is a better defensive SS than Story, IMO. Since both suck equally at bat, why not play Mayer at SS and Story at 2B? Let's see if Tracy has the same "loyalty" issues as Cora. While Durbin has the worst numbers than anyone but IKF, he has shown some signs of life- unlike many others on this team. .773 last 11 games
  14. Would anybody trade Holobetz, YRod & Phillips for Priester, now?
  15. Here's a trick question: how long will it take Tracy to even suggest to Story a move to 2B? Answer: never.
  16. Two years too late.
  17. Meet the new boss Same as the old boss
  18. Yup. So, to all those who blame Brez for not making "THE MOVE" for a player or two from this list, how would we look now had we signed even 3 of these 4? Okay, we could say, "At least he tried," but he'd be in worse trouble for spending unwisely, years from now. Note: I'm not calling out others/everyone, since I mentioned many players that have gotten off to poor starts, too, such as E Suarez, Polanco and mainly KMarte & Paredes.
  19. We could be undefeated and Sox fans would still be bashing Durbin or whoever the weakest link is.
  20. From you, that's a shining compliment.
