  1. My worries with Lindor is not just his age and decline, but his defense is down to about average and falling, too.
  2. It might be hard to judge as DC will play somewhere else and in a different role. Even on the Sox: PAs Against 210 Watson- 4 High Leverage/ 11 Medium Leverage/195 Low leverage 96 Coulombe- 32 High Leverage/ 14 Medium Leverage/ 50 Low Leverage It's kinda been apples to oranges,
  3. I guess the .629 OPS Against was just luck. (Not saying that sarcastically.)
  4. Its the same stat. FIP is based on Ks and BBs.
  5. Campbell or Bello and Cespedes over Godbout?
  6. I think I've agreed with about 99% of what you've said in the last few months, but this is one area I'm 180 degrees away. I suppose if the Mets pay 90% of his contract or take back Story and or Masa, maybe...
  7. I'm not a big fan of Coulombe, and I know the .629 OPS Against is not everything, but how do his peripherals compare to Watson's?
  8. If Cora was the diva-whisperer he was made out to be, why noe even try to smooth it over with Devers? He even spoke the same language, so no misunderstandings due to mistranslations. To me, nobody is over 50% on the blame game, but Brez and Devers were more than Cora. Maybe 40-40-20.
  9. ,,and nobody really counted on them coming out of the gate like this. Tolle didnt even make the 26 out of camp.
  10. May i ask for just one account, where the other team offered ___ insert name___ and Brez said no. I'd love to know of just one, and don't say "Paredes or KMarte."
  11. Word was HOU wanted Abreu not Duran, so I'm not sure there ever was an actual offer for Duran, let alone Paredes.
  12. It sure seems that way. It might have been even worse than we think as no offer has ever been reported to my knowledge. That is pretty strange.
  13. Yup, especially if the players we buy cost us Arias or Eyanson and maybe even Witherspoon.
  14. Agreed, and I'm glad Brez put focus on building up minor league catcher depth and promise. He seemed to put focus on hitting in this latest draft, so I think he is showing he can change focus to where it is needed. Some of these guys are far away, and not all promise turns into the real deal. It's nice that we have so much, that some are bound to make an impact. We saw it with Tolle, Early & Bennett. Last year, we saw some from Anthony & Narvaez, but both are in question, now.
  15. And what for the manager who was too chicken to even talk to his player about what was best for the team?
  16. For Gray: a top 2-3 organizational prospect or two top 10's. For Chapman: top 3-4 prospect or two top 12's. For Sandoval: a mid For IKF: not much For Whitlock and 2 more years of control: a top 2-3 prospect. For Contreras and another year of control: top 2-3 prospect.
  17. Yes, I did not include Witherspoon on my mild buy plan. He's on the moderate buy plan. Arias & Eyanson would be part of an all-in buy plan that I am against, as of now.
  18. We seem to specialize in Catchers who move to 1B/DH or never make the bigs, despite hitting pretty well for a catcher. If just one from this list can stick at catcher, maybe we strike gold: 1.067 Primera FCL>SAL 1.002 Ronny Hernandez GRE .991 Gasper WOO .953 Brannon POR (1B/DH for sure) .935 Jorge Rodriguez FCL .850 Andruw Mussett SAL .844 Jo Garcia POR .839 Adonys Guzman SAL>GRE .817 Luke Heyman SAL>GRE .786 Ronald Rosario POR .762 A Knizner WOO .723 Nathan Hickey WOO .723 Hudson White .658 Gerardo Rodriguez GRE ______________________ Ranked (not all that highly): 7 Primera 22 Gerardo Rodriguez 23 Luke Heyman 34 Jo Garcia 54 Jorge Rodriguez
  19. That sums it up. It doesn't say the Sox made no mistakes, but this is the crux of it.
