    Farm Records: AAA: 8-3 Woo (tied for 1st in East Division) AA: 2-3 POR (1GB NE Division leaders) A+: 2-4 GRE (2GB South Division) A-: 5-1 SAL (1st Place in North Division) 17-11 Total Many felt GRE was the team to watch, and they still are, but they have the worst record of all 4 teams.

    Okay, the ST'ing look counts, but neither pitched for the MLB team in a ST'ing game. I understand, scouts can still see how good a pitcher's stuff is. The history was there for the last rankings, too.

    No, but it shows a GM wanted Duran and was willing to give up value. Since we don't know all the players ever discussed in trade talks, I don't think we can say it's "obvious" nobody values Duran highly enough.

    Witherspoon has pitched one game. I'm not sure we can know enough about his "secondaries" to rank him higher. What did Eyanson do to jump Phillips in the rankings, when neither has pitched one inning?

    Agreed. I'm thinking he has jumped Witherspoon, despite this being just a small sample size, but speaking of SSS's, how big is Kyson's? My top 5: 1. Early 2. Tolle 3. Valera 4. Witherspoon 5. Arias (I'd put Gonzales 6th- not Eyanson or Phillips.)

    That very well could be, but it's not "obvious." Couldn't that Brez values him more highly all GMs in need of an OF'er and who can afford $7M? I'd like to know any and all deals offered for him: then, we'd have a better idea of where the main issue lies. 8 months ago, this was reported.... The Boston Red Sox rejected the San Diego Padres' package of starting pitcher Dylan Cease, No. 2 prospect Ethan Salas and an unnamed prospect for All-Star outfielder Jarren Duran, per MassLive's Sean McAdam. McAdam clarified the unnamed prospect was not No. 1 Padres prospect and No. 3 MLB prospect Leo De Vries. The Sox "quickly rejected it." I think that showed one GM valued Duran. There was also more recent talk of Ragans for Duran, but I'm not sure that helps my point. Haven't really heard many confirmed offers made, so it's tough to know.

    He's a long shot, for sure, but he did well w POR, last year: 90 Ks and 18 BBs in 75.1 IP.

    Some happenings in MLB: The Tigers were swept by MIN and are in last place. Seattle has the worst record in MLB. The Cubs are in last place, despite spending a ton, this winter. All three teams were picked to win their divisions. The Marlins are in first place, and PHI in 4th place. Cincy is a half GB MIL. The Angels, O's and Twins are also in second place. Isn't baseball a wonderful sport?

    This is the part that made a trade seem like a no brainer. I know they wanted Abreu, but Duran would help them more than Paredes would have helped us.

    Indeed, and we still have Tolle, Crawford and Sandoval as possibilities for depth or maybe even pen help, later on in the season.

    Uberstine finished off Woo's shutout win: 3 IP 1H 0ER 1BB 3K Ehrhard homered in POR's 4-3 win. GRE got the shutout, too, They won 2-0 and Gartrell & Brooks both pitched 2 shutout innings. GRE pitchers had 17 Ks! They allowed 3 hits and walked 5. SAL completed the farm sweep with a 2-1 win.
