  1. Ober was pretty good from '22 to '24: 1.03 WHIP was 4th best in MLB! 3.66 ERA (115 ERA+) 89 ERA- ranked 27th 3.74 FIP
  2. RBI Leaders: 12 Gasper 11 Romero 10 Castro (6 yesterday) 9 Sogard 8 KC
  3. Some interesting early farm numbers: Seth Martinez has let up 4 hits in 11.2 IP, but 3 are HRs! Jake Bennett has a .289 OPS Against- second only to Futrell's astonishing .171 line. Dylan Brown has a 0.00 ERA in 8.2 IP with 14 Ks (.301 OPSA) Arias has just 19 PAs but a 1.342 OPS. Salem has 3 guys over 1.000 (Opata, Salazar & Tucker) Cheng and Gasper are the other two over 1.000. They both lead the Sox farm in HRs with 3. Ward has a .500 OBP and 9 SBs in 12 tries. K leaders: Castro 17 and KC 16
  4. How about Devin Futrell's season line? 9 IP 1 Hit 0 ER 2 BB 10 Ks for the RidgeYaks of Salem (A-) He's 23 and still in A- ball, but he did pitch a little for GRE (A+) last season. My guess is he gets promoted, but GRE's rotation looks pretty stacked. Maybe Valera, Witherspoon or Eyanson gets bumped up to POR.
  5. That fits the Sox M. O.
  6. Not as a permanent solution. Yes, bring up the hot hand.
  7. While I agree, some of the guys we have in the pen, now are still working to perfect their primary pitch.
  8. "Touting?" I wouldn't call it that, but okay. Yes, I mentioned a couple players had a good game. Shoot me.
  9. Well, Story sucked up second. Maybe the idea is to bat every slumping player second, then demote them down the line-up and watch them flourish.
  10. Hey, we've won 4 of 6, so those who cling to the recency factor should be elated. Where is the Rafaela basher? (He's at .815.)
  11. And, he's 4 years younger than both. (He's 2 years younger than Witherpsoon, who sp.com has ranked above Valera.)
  12. Maybe try this... Demote Kelly & Monasterio. Promote Tolle (pen) & Cheng. Ideally, Cheng plays SS, Mayer 3B & Story 2B, but we all know Cora won't move Story off SS. (Durbin takes over Monasterio's bench role and maybe plays vs LHPs, as LHBs Mayer or Cheng sit out.)
  13. AL East after 15 games 8-7 TBR (-10 run diff) 8-7 NYY (+21) 8-7 BAL (+1) 6-9 BOS (+0) 2 GB 6-9 TOR (-25) 2 GB
  14. Maybe now is the time to go on a roll... MON @ MIN (Crochet) TUE @ MIN (Gray) WED @ MIN (Early) THU OFF FRI vs DET (Suarez w extra day of rest) SAT vs DET (Bello w extra day) SUN vs DET (Crochet w xtra day) MON vs DET (Gray w xtra day) 3 vs NYY (Early>Suarez>Bello) 3 at BAL (Crochet>Gray>Early) MON 4/27 Off (after 10 straight games)
  15. Updated Sox OPS: .975 Wong .974 Abreu .957 Contreras .868 Yoshida .815 Rafaela _____________ .617 Mayer .599 Anthony .563 Duran _____________ .508 Monasterio .507 Narvaez .461 Story ______________ .336 Durbin .258 IKF
  16. 3.12 Crochet 2.63 Early 2.76 Gray 5.02 Suarez (3.60 last 2 starts) 6.14 Bello (5.40 last 2 and 2.70 today)
  17. Many felt Fenway was made for Willson, but he's looked fine on the road, too, thanks to today. We still need Durbin to turn things around to make the infield choices look good, but that could happen. (Maybe IKF or Cheng can help, too.)
  18. Some others mentioned or notable players: .158 Refsnyder .237 Ozuna .392 Arenado .393 V Grissom .418 Rengifo .455 Bohm .477 Stott .501 Chisholm .526 Semien .548 Keaschall .549 Baty .558 Brice Matthews .565 Polanco .590 Moncada .593 Bichette .596 M McLain .598 Meidroth .600 DHam .616 Okamoto .634 G Torres .640 Matt Shaw .648 Bogey _______________________________ ***.650 seems like the new .700 in MLB*** _______________________________ .659 Kyle Tucker .687 Kurtz .688 Vientos .698 O'Neill .698 Paredes .710 Betts .714 E Tovar .715 Realmutto .719 Murakami .732 Arraez .736 Seager __________________ .782 Andujar .805 Ryan Jeffers .813 W Adames .822 Royce Lewis .855 Hyeseong Kim .858 Teoscar H .863 Max Muncy LAD ,873 Dubon ________________ .899 Neto .901 Nick Yorke .911 Hoerner .926 Josh Bell .937 Tristan Gray .938 Dominic Smith .965 B Lowe .968 O'Hearn .969 CJ Abrams .984 C Vazquez 1.005 James Wood 1.025 Yandy Diaz 1.947 Rushing (11 AB) notin's guy
  19. The Yaks had 14 hits and 8 BBs, today on their way to a 16-3 win. They are now 7-2. On base... 2 of 5 Nunez 5/5 Azocar 4/5 Heyman 2/5 King w SF 3/5 Opata 2/5 Fermin 3/5 Tucker 1/5 Ortiz 1/5 Fernand Team 23/45 w a SF KAPOW!!!!
  20. How does other teams sucking, too make us look worse? We agree on just about nothing.
  21. Agreed. I'm usually the one saying this to others. I do think Duran's stock fell last year, and he's not helping things to start 2026.
  22. Bello looked okay. We need him to be consistently okay or better. Contreras may help us forget about Alonso and maybe even Bregman's (bat.) Story goes 4 for 5 and gets to a .461 OPS. WOW! Anthony fell below .600. Cue Ole Red's "suspect" mantra. Duran with 3 RBI is nice. We've won 2 series in a row! (Both after losing game 1.)
