Sure hope Moeland keeps on hitting like he’s been this season, and Pedroia comes back strong. Every five minutes I grow more comfortable with HanRam’s DFA, especially if it does indeed give us more financial flexibility. Secondly, maybe Swihart gets more looks and maybe even builds back some of the value he’s lost (via both his fault & no fault of his own). I do worry a little about overall team chemistry, HanRam was a good personality this season. I don’t suspect there will be any negative fall out, but you never know. DFA-ing Hanley could free up budget space to make a good move (or two) at the deadline. Maybe sure up our BP? That’d be nice.

Like O’brien said, he’s really tip-toeing around landmines today. He’s having trouble locating pretty much every type of pitch in his arsenal until it really counts (save for that play by Betts). What’s saving him today is his repertoire it seems.

You actually should. My moms needed CT surgery on both hands. She worked for a HR Dept. for over 30 yrs. Even back when HR was called “Personnel”. Why they change that? Personnel sounded so much better. More personal and at the same time more professional.

Was kinda hoping they’d give Swi a look at 2B. Cora has to learn to not to sit half our regulars when he wants to hand out playing time. It doesn’t have to be that way. Say if he did start Swi at 2B (as an example), don’t sit Betts and put Nunez in RF. Cora hasn’t done this, but it seems like something he’d do.

Even in Tuesday’s loss, I found it encouraging that Pom gave us a better than quality Start (6 Inn, 2 ER, 6 K). Our BP has been very disappionting, but I have to look at the close future that maybe it will improve with Wright and Thornburg in the mix. Every team loses. A lot. And loses against their most hated rival. As a baseball fan it’s imperative to find those silver linings in a loss when there’s one to be had. Just be happy there’s one at all.

Meh. It’s probably the best time to get this out of the way for him. It’s not like he was going to break into the major league rotation this season or next. Besides, It’s pretty common now. Just ask the Mets.

Well, Bos & NYY are tied in their season series and tied in the standings. I’ll give the Yanks some credit. They came back in the standings down a lot of games while the Sox were still playing .500 ball. That’s tough to do. I’ve no idea why Yank fans were chanting Tyler Austin for. Dude made a punk play and then got his ass handed to him by Joe Kelly and last time I checked was batting .220 something. Not a name I’d be proud to start chanting like he was Derek Jeter or somebody. And to be honest, I’m still a bit pissed about last season when the Yanks were a bunch of rat f***s for going to the media over the Sox stealing signs with smartphones at the same time they were stealing signs from the YES cameras. Even the commissioner said that thats the kind of stuff teams keep between themselves and he and every team prefers it that way. But hey, I do credit their talent. They’re a talented bunch of rat f***s. Should make for an interesting season. It’d be kinda boring if we just ran away with the division like it was looking like we would.

Yes. I remember posting a ton on how Kelly COULD be a decent reliever (while he was still a SP). He’s fine where he is. I was also guilty of bragging about how such a smart decision it was without a huge sample size (only a seasons worth), but he still proving me right about it over the long haul so far. Yes, I need to be right about stuff on occasion. It feels good.

Retractable roof the way to go in my opinion. Safeco has a retractable umbrella which just keeps the rain out and it’s open on the sides. I’ve never heard any complaints about it.
