  1. I think people forget how dominant he was in ‘16 before his injury(s). He was essentially our #2, some weeks it was difficult to distinguish who our #1 was between Porcello and Wright, 4 CGs, AS, in CY Young conversation. I know the Knuckleball isn’t as sexy as a higher velocity pitch, the higher walk rate, the Wild pitches and Passed balls, not to mention even the weather may play a factor. I remember you posting the numbers on Wake’s starts and the Starts from other SPs (usually Pedro?) immediately following His, In the same series of course. That was a long time ago now. I don't remember them with any accuracy though. Cora is probably oblivious to all that a healthy Wright can provide. I suggest he go watch some 2016 video. Wright’s got the right attitude and he seems happy just to be out there again and healthy. I wouldn’t say Wright is wasted in the BP currently, but if he continues to put up 7 innings like the other night in spot starts Cora gotta give him his due sooner over later.
  2. Hey, you’re invited to The Last Man on the 25 is going to Make or Break Our Season Club. Congratulations! Wright stays healthy he belongs there. Plus, he’s soooo good looking lol
  3. You mean, what I was talking about?
  4. I did read it dummy.
  5. I’d normally take Wright over Pom anyway. Passed balls included.
  6. I don’t understand. I don’t remember Owens having a major injury like Swihart. Maybe not a great comparison?
  7. If Swihart was a former top prospect that happened to be a pitcher, and the sox did everything they could to keep him to see what he had, would we be having this non-stop discussion? I kinda doubt it. Soooo, Wright’s our #5 now w/ Pom hurt? I’m almost delighted. He’s foolin’ batters so hard they forget to run to 1B.
  8. Lol The Rabid Swihart Fan Club? That’s a little over dramatic, no? In fact, I’ve observed the opposite of that all year. The Rabid OMG! What the f*** is going on with the 25th spot on our roster??!!! Fan Club. God forbid the 25th guy doesn’t live up to your expectations. Jesus christ. Holy s***. I thought this thread was supposed to be about Wright anyhow?
  9. I’d draft him if we had that high a pick- I like him that much. We don’t though. And we’d have to give up a lot, most definitely way too much, to trade up in the daft to get him.
  10. I can see the interest in Bamba. His height & wingspan alone could help on defense, in that a team like the Celtics may not have to double-team in the post as much and can focus on backcourt perimeter defense. His frame could be a blessing. Could also be a curse. He might want to bulk up a little bit. Not so much as to become too slow, but ... I’d worry about him getting hurt. He may not seem fragile in college, but the nba could eat him up quick. He’s drawing a lot of crazy dumb comparisons. I wished the media stopped over-hyping every player that comes into the league, but they’ve been doing that since Jordan retired for good. Would I take him? Yeah sure. But I’m not sure what kind of trade-up package I’d offer. Jaylen Brown is good right now and I expect him to get even better. Not sure I’d send him packing for a “maybe” at this point.
  11. Agreed.
  12. But with the exception of Brown, These guys Rozier and Smart and even Morris... to me they’re bench pieces. They wouldn’t normally start or even get as many minutes as they did if we had our full roster. They played so many minutes because WE HAD TO PLAY THEM. They absolutely have flaws. But coming off the bench for next season, one could do worse. Way worse. Really really f***ing way worse. That’s my only point. Think about it. Our bench practically took us to one game away from the Finals. It wasn’t ideal. But certainly one could gleem some positives out of what transpired.
  13. Well, if Brown wasn’t missing wide open shots maybe he’d gotten the ball more in the 2nd half? Tatum can’t take all the shots. Both Brown & Rozier couldn’t shoot a lick tonight. That killed us. I love Smart’s hustle, not sure why you’d want to trade him? Rozier will be nice coming off the bench next year. Or I guess they could trade him. He’s a nice depth piece. Morris I can do without. He’s a bit bone-headed at times. Fact of the matter is, they obviously needed another reliable scoring option like Kyrie. They played their asses off. Great foundation for next season.
  14. Too many missed shots. C’s look great for next season though with Kyrie, Hayward and Theis coming back. Very productive season.
  15. Well, I was just speaking talent wise. I’d personally rather have IT, Crowder, Rose than what they have now. I mean, I’d definitely have more faith in them. By track record alone. Whether IT was a cancer or not, I’d just point out that he wasn’t a cancer in Boston. He wasn’t a cancer in LA either. A typically outspoken Crowder voiced his opinion that James was just trying to pad his stats, he must be a cancer too? Meh... not sure I buy the whole everyone is at fault but James theory. What do you think about tonights’s game 7? Any predictions? Home court seems to be the most important factor in this series. I hope that remains true for tonight.
  16. What makes you think Swihart won’t see more playing time now? Honestly curious.
  17. Yeah, or what if Roberto wanted to practice his stabbing between innings?
  18. Probably? Lol It’s their own fault really. They traded away Two better players they got from the C’s because why? They may have wanted the ball more?
  19. They did that atleast. And James had 46 mins plus
  20. Agreed. It’s not even close. Kevin Love just happens to be the 2nd best player on the Cavs.
  21. Oh yeah, Tatums a rookie so I’m really not that impressed with James shooting 3’s on Tatums head. When James tracks down Rozier to matchup against I’m not that impressed by that either. Horfords no match defending James one on one, notice he doesn’t post down low... like ... ever. C’s made it competitive though. Got it to 7 pts a bunch of times, lost by ten. They probably should have let Rozier shoot even more than he did, he was the hot hand all night. I feel good about C’s home court advantage. I’d be surprised if Stevens doesn’t have them prepared. James can score 80, I still think the Celtics pull out a victory Sunday. Which is pretty crazy all & all.
  22. I miss Theis.
  23. Tatum stayed in the game after that collision. Maybe he shouldn’t have? He didn’t seem like himself.
  24. MVP can definitely be that.
