  1. If they weren't west coast or central timezone games, I'd still watch the whole thing. I don't see much point in losing sleep over them.
  2. That applies to most players in MLB, I would think. It does suck when it seems we have all of them.
  3. Who said they weren't? The problem is the repeated douchbaggy posts directed at people who didn't agree with geniuses who happen to be thrilled that the Sox suck.
  4. Some folks can only be "civil" for so long.
  5. Show me an owner that isn't. It probably goes with having that type of personality. I agree about the Francona thing. The way that was handled is about as low as you can get.
  6. I think the FO decided how to proceed after losing the Yankees series. We'll probably see a lot of Napoli and Victorino until the deadline passes.
  7. I think it's a last-ditch effort to get something out of Napoli. I'm sure they'd rather trade him than cut him. Bitching a bout Holt missing a couple of games seem to me to be the equivalent of bitching about your seat on the lifeboat being wet.
  8. Yup, that would've made all the difference....
  9. Yup, pretty much all that's left is to hope they break .500, sell off some spare parts to try to and build for next year.
  10. Owens has pitched in 24 games at Pawtucket. Let him come up and get his feet wet, while Buchholz is out. If he gets hammered, bring up Wright. He's young, but he's probably ready to give pitching in the ML a shot.
  11. I think this list is why they tried to roll with what they had this off season. Why sign a guy like Shields, when this crop is available the next year?
  12. Yup, it would take 3 or 4 of the blocked players you listed earlier, plus a young ML player, like Swihart or Betts. We'd probably have to take a player like Danks or Melky Cabrera too.
  13. Eh, I've been thrown out of better places. Fine, if you think he treats other ok, then I'm out of line. I just don't like to see good posters pushed around. But that's just me...
  14. It's simple. Stop being a dick and I'll stop pointing out that you are one. Frankly, I don't care what you read. I'm just afraid some young and impressionable fan will read your inane crap and actually believe it. And if you really cared about reducing conflict here, you wouldn't tell good posters like SK7326 and Kimmi that they lacked credibility. If you don't agree with them, try backing it up with more than "because I said so", you f***ing bore. At least UN has the balls to say what he thinks. You're just as condescending, but much more weaselly about it. And if posters repost my stuff, too bad. you don't run things here. Grow a f***ing spine and deal with it. Quit expecting others to hold your hand through the scary parts. So yeah, I'm not leaving and I'm not ceasing to call you an idiot when you are clearly being one. What's next? Crying to mamma?
  15. All that extra work and you're still wrong. Way to go!
  16. The Sox lost 5 games where the pitching gave up 3 runs or less. They lost two more where the pitching gave up 4 runs. The Sox would be in much better shape if they had won just half of those games.
  17. Heavy math load you've got this coming year. Work hard and good luck!
  18. Kimmi has a way of doing that to people.
  19. There were quite a few games in May, where the pitching was pretty good and kept them in games. But, they couldn't score more than one or two runs.
  20. Yup. absolutely everyone was saying "stay in contention, see which pitchers are not getting it done and get help at the deadline".
  21. Depends on just how badly they want to dig themselves out of the hole. They have a the players to get it done, but it'll be painful.
  22. Stay out of it, junior.
