  1. I like it.
  2. Their injury records don't bode well for either of them, but I'm willing to be pleasantly surprised.
  3. "Exactly this. Some seem to have more loyalty towards Betts than the team itself. Mookie doesn't feel the same way. He's taking the biggest offer next year, whoever gives it." Yup. Because Betts refused to sign an extension, the Sox were able to extend Xander. The Sale and Eovaldi deals were mistakes, but they can remedy that by signing more pitching the next year or two. I'm just happy Price is on the west coast and in the National League. Good riddance.
  4. Yup, the Sox are screwed. And over something so dumb.
  5. It will be the new protocol if Manfred has decided no one took the first warning seriously. The penalties for Houston were excessive and I expect Cora's time in baseball is done.
  6. Sounds about right.
  7. Trade him yesterday.
  8. Can't wait to win another World Series. Elktondick doesn't post because he has nothing to bitch about.
  9. Shaughnessy is hyperbole on two legs.
  10. Yup, same type of feeling.
  11. Nope, that ALCS was so amazing, the WS series sweep was sort of an afterthought.
  12. I'm not sure that teams will be lining up to sign Porcello and he has said more than once that he's like to stay. If the cost is reasonable, He could be back.
  13. The perfect compromise.
  14. I wish I had that kind of pull!
  15. Jesus, I don't log in for a while and it's back to 2015 again...
  16. Yup,it would be. And Cora would have another managerial job by Nov.
  17. It would explain why they announced it during a Pats blow out and are afraid to talk about it.
  18. If the Sox won the WS this year, signing Price and extending Sale and Eovaldi wouldn't look like such a screw up. Because of those contracts, the sox are probably going to have to choose between Betts and Martinez.
  19. After Sunday's game, maybe an argument can be made that fighting out of a early hole is getting old.
  20. Stranger things have happened in baseball, but it's not happening with the state of this pitching staff.
  21. Love Devers, but nobody is capable of saving this pitching staff.
  22. Nope, the bottom line is that the the high priced talent that the team depends on to pitch at a high level isn't getting it done, for whatever reason. the no-hit Rays lit this pitching staff up like a Christmas tree this week. I expect the Yankees to do the same,
  23. No, they revolutionize the way some people look at the game. No one is forcing you to do the same. And just because the analysts don't agree with you, it doesn't make them incompetent. If it makes you feel better to think that way, be prepared to not be taken seriously.
  24. Great! That'll fix the pitching issues!
  25. Now ask me if I care. I'm aware his contract is untradable, thanks.
