  1. But then again, who needs common sense...
  2. But, I don't do it willingly. I do it because I have to. That's the difference.
  3. You actually send ESPN money? Wow...
  4. The current Red Sox ownership does what it takes to win. This is the best run Red Sox org, as far as spending money to keep the fanbase interested, that the team has ever had. It's a shame that they're a bunch of f***ing weasels, otherwise.
  5. If what was posted above is true, I would. The only problerm is, Shaw can't hit left-handers either. Hill simply can't hit.
  6. Nope, can't have that! Honestly, Farrell makes enough dumb moves. I don't get why some fans feel the need to make up more.
  7. Yeah, with that rock-solid bullpen, where could the Sox possibly fit him in?
  8. Considering how Wright and E-rod looked in their last starts, it's not out of the question.
  9. Depends on what kind of stupid contracts are given out to pitchers between now and then.
  10. Yup, it's along way to Spring Training. I hope he can keep it up.
  11. Actually, reports are that he's lost 22 lbs.
  12. We can assume that now, but a lot can change between now and next spring training. Injuries, trades,... I doubt the sox FO is assuming anything of the kind.
  13. If Clay lays an egg in his next start, he'll be called all sorts of names. I'm betting Miss Manners doesn't bat an eye. Eveyone's got their favorites, i guess.
  14. I thought the Red sox screwed up with his knee diagnosis. Now, I'm not so sure. I'm begining to think it took him an extra two months to get mentally prepared, after his knee healed. E-Rod strikes me as the type that not going to pitch unless he feels "100%". Is that better Miss Manners? If he's not back on the DL by the time the playoffs roll around, I'll be amazed.
  15. You're right. 5:45 Sat. Which gave the Sox and Pawtuckett very little time to line up replacements. I hope they give him lots of time. i think he's soft.
  16. I have no problem giving him time. What I don't like is the spot he put the team in last Sunday. If you feel you can't pitch, say so! Hopefully, someone like Price had a little talk with him.
  17. You really think that's how the conversation went on Sunday? He decided he couldn't go at 5:45! I'll give him credit for saying he's partly responsible of the loss. Your version is a nice little fantasy though.
  18. Yup, E-Rod has to get over this "I'm afraid to pitch" BS before you relegate Buchh to the pen. E-Rod hosed this team last Sunday. Put him in the pen until he's "ready" to start a game.
  19. There's not a whole lot of AAA season left to do a rehab.
  20. Kimmi does what she can to balance the books around here.
  21. He did get the job done. Still, it's unsettling to see shots over the wall, after witnessing the way the bullpen has performed over the last month or so. Is a clean 9th inning that much to ask for?
  22. Price and the Sox offense brought it! Nice to see a balanced game for a change. The bullpen continues to be an adventure, unfortunately.
  23. There'd be a lot less traffic to deal with!
  24. The do need relief pitching badly, but instead of just saying no to Papelbon, it's pretty easy for the Sox to make it clear that he's pitching the 7th and if he's lucky, the 8th. If he says no, so do the Sox. They need help too badly to say no to any pitcher with out a discussion.
  25. True, but I'll feel alot better about this team's chances in the postseason if they kick the crap out of a couple of good teams that are in the way of their winning the division.
