  1. Seemed to work pretty well Wed night.
  2. If I'd known it was Smiley-Beni Day, I would've taken the day off!
  3. What? You don't want a closer that has to have the perfect emotional environment before he can bring himself to pitch well? Iffy games in non-save, or other "imperfect" situations is nothing new for Kimbrel.
  4. Ah, got it.
  5. Blowing a division clinching game in Yakee statium is no big deal. What makes you think a Home Opener would be?
  6. The score was 3-0. How is that not a save situation?
  7. Not to mention, a player's entire season record matters, unless his name is Price.
  8. Clay did throw a wrench into the model this year by sucking, without first being injured.
  9. This sums it up nicely.
  10. It wasn't pretty, but we'll take it!
  11. I agree. Losing Tuesday night, after the offense came back and tied it twice was bad enough. But, blowing a 3 run lead in the ninth, by walking the entire lineup was pathetic. DD sems to have a knack for finding players with weak knees.
  12. Makes sense.
  13. I'm not sure why postseason concerns are silly. He was an absolute force in his rookie year (8 years ago)and he was good in his one 2014 game with the Tigers. Other than that he been pedestrian, and that's being kind. If the rest of the rotation can pitch well, the Sox can probably get away with an average pitcher in there, but it wont be easy. A 6.70 ERA in last year's playoffs isn't the least bit funny.
  14. What's shaky about it, the lack of defense or that it might look like a parting gift?
  15. I hope s*** doesn't happen next month. But, I don't have the warm and fuzzies about his starts.
  16. And I guess it's out of line to point out he failed to do that last night? And while all those things make Price a good pitcher, it doesn't make him an "ace". That idea seems to rile up a lot of of folks who don't mind ripping any other player on the team.
  17. Show's he's healthy, at least.
  18. The Rangers are probably scared to death to face Price and his 2.032 WHIP against them.
  19. That about sums it up. I just hope the "fluky" stuff doesn't extend into the post season. Watching Price face the Rangers in a playoff game isn't going to be a good time.
  20. Thanks for reminding why I usually don't respond to you. You're an *******.
  21. One more than the number of hits he gave up. Sweet!
  22. Yeah, that's exactly the same thing.
  23. Which of Price's numbers this year impress you?
