    Yup, it's not a lack of HRs that are costing the Sox games. They can't even get their share of timely hits. Watching Betts pop up (again) to end the game with bases loaded the other night was pathetic.

    Exactly. After the the trades the Yankees made to collect prospects, they had a much deeper farm system to work with.

    Personally, it would depend on what he wrote. I'm not a fan of Shaugnessy because I think he enjoys getting a rise out of players and fans. I'd probably assume he wrote something to deserve it.

    Whatever gave you that idea?? I've never cared for the guy and wasn't at all happy he was signed here, but I can't even type the words in a public forum to describe what I think of him now.

    So, you WANT your color analyst to just throw roses at the team and not tell what actually happening? E-rod's minor league start was lousy. I think "Yuck" conveys the truth of that quite nicely. I don't think Price actually gives a rats ass about what Eckersley said, I think he saw a chance to bully someone and display his warped sense of leadership. If it weren't Eck's comment about E-rod, it would've been something else. The biggest shame in all this would be if Eckersley changes the way he announces, or decides the BS isn't worth it at all.
