  1. Shifts should also be banned.
  2. Despite what Notin says, it's a good rule. I really like it as well.
  3. I am wondering what David Price is thinking. After the initial early outbreaks, MLB has gone 58 (I believe) straight days without a positive test. You really have to give MLB and the players credit for taking the protocols seriously after it looked like the season would not last 2 weeks. But, I digress. Price could be pitching in and winning a WS Championship with his team. He says that he is at peace with his decision, but a part of him has to be feeling that he wishes he were playing.
  4. Ha. I'm being baited. Momentum has no predictive value. I think we've established that.
  5. Yeah, this is the one reason why I would pull against the Dodgers. Mookie is not the difference maker.
  6. I would have to agree with this. Too bad, I was really pulling for the Braves. Now I'm pulling for the Dodgers, whom I have nothing against (Go Dave Roberts), except I'm already sick of all the Mookie articles.
  7. It was a heartbreaker, but made the final outcome all the more rewarding.
  8. I wouldn't sign him for big money, but I don't think his peripherals are as bad as you make them out to be. Didi's hard hit % and exit velocity are often in the bottom 5% or so of the league.
  9. I was happy when the Yankees didn't re-sign Didi last offseason. When Sanchez first came up, I was thinking that he would be a thorn in our sides for a long time. He has not lived up to expectations.
  10. He is having himself a fine postseason, outside of the Yankees series.
  11. After a 4 hour, 20 minute 19-8 beat down the night before, no less. I don't think anything in sports can ever match the Red Sox comeback that year.
  12. Yeah, I was going to post how stress free and enjoyable a Game 7 is when your team is not in it. LOL As far as teams choking versus the achievements of the winning team, I think it's a combination of both.
  13. I tend to agree about Cashman. I have stated often that I think he is a good GM. Boone as a manager, not so much.
  14. Yes. I don't disagree with that. I think the right deadline moves are very important. I was responding to the line about Yankees fans wanting Cashman gone due to the lack of postseason success.
  15. Teixeira is saying that the Yankees should bring Didi back. Makes a lot of sense. That said, I hope the Yankees sign DJ to a long and expensive contract.
  16. Go Braves!
  17. The Rays need to win so that the Sox will remain the only team to have this distinction. It doesn't get any better than a Game 7.
  18. The Rays were already pressing in Games 5 and 6, IMO. I didn't think it would be possible for the Astros to come back, but now, I have to give them the edge. I don't like either team, but regardless, great October baseball. The NL series as well.
  19. The playoffs are just too much of a crap shoot. It doesn't matter how great a GM is, or how great a team he puts together. A WS Championship is far from guaranteed, even for a 105 win team. The goal is to have a team that is a contender year in and year out.
  20. Who knows why he's coming back? Don't question it, just embrace it.
  21. That was I was thinking. LOL Actually, I think Cashman does a pretty good job. I'm glad Doofus Boone is returning though.
  22. Hal stated yesterday that both Cashman and Boone will be back next year.
  23. The Dodgers are really good. I'm not sure the Braves can pull this off.
  24. I don't have anything against the Dodgers or LA teams. That said, I want the Braves to win because 1) they are one of my favorite teams outside of the Sox, and 2) I really don't want to hear the 'we should have signed Mookie' arguments all offseason, and the Dodgers winning it all will certainly add fuel to that fire.
  25. I think someone will offer him a 7 year deal as well. Crazy. I hope the Red Sox stay far away from him if we're talking that long of a contract.
