A catcher should stick up for and protect his pitcher. I have no problem with that. In fact, I'm on board with it. IMO, it was not a cheap shot by any means.

I would hope that the Braves' FO is smart enough to realize that some sort of uncanny ability to hit in the postseason, aka clutch, doesn't exist. I have no idea who else they have that they could have used as a bench piece instead. Maybe Pablo's the best option.

I feel really bad for the Red and their fans. Today's loss is the type of game that would cause me to lose sleep. Not that I really care who wins that series, but man, what a heartbreaker that was for them.

There is good reason why Red Sox fans go ga-ga over Varitek, and it has nothing to do with offense. As far as being suited up while going after ARod, no catcher is going to stop to take off his mask or gear in the middle of that type of situation.

I am on board with this. I'm not sure the relievers all need to be back end relievers, but sounds good. Just don't spend a lot of money on them.

I think I would love traveling to the various ballparks, but I also think that it would get old after a while. Plus, you bring up the key point with Remy, I think, which is health concerns.
