I agree that the Sox are fortunate that Mookie turned down the extension, but not because the Sox are going to suck next year. The Sox will be in contention in 2021.

It is time to move, for sure. Unfortunately, we as Red Sox fans, myself included, cannot let things go. We will be talking about Mookie for the rest of his Dodger career.

If you are including me as part of the 'people', once again, I give Dombrowski full credit for all the moves he made in 2018.

I am not denying how great 2018 was. I just think the credit for that season belongs much more to Theo and Ben than it does to Dave. Also, I said that I am okay with any of the moves, taken by themselves, that Dombrowski made, not that they were necessarily good moves. But to clarify, I'm not saying that we did not get good players from these moves. We got some very good or great players. I am just not impressed with any GM acquiring a big name player by paying the highest price for him. Show me the shrewd, small market moves. Then I'll be impressed.

Besides having a great track record with the Rays, Bloom has made some very good moves in his short time with the Sox. I trust him until he gives me a reason not to.

I still have to go with the Dodgers as well. At least the series will go a minimum of 6 games. Go Baseball!

Most of the moves that he made were only possible because of the state that the team was in when he came on board. He acquired top players by paying the most for them with resources that were provided by someone else. I can't give him a lot of credit for that. I could have done that.

If you talk to fanbases of other teams, the obnoxiousness level of Red Sox fans is right up there with the Yankees. We have become whiny and entitled. Many Red Sox fans don't agree with that statement, but that is the impression that most other team's fans have of us.

I have given him credit for Cora and for every signing that he made in 2018. He did a great job that year.

I am not really familiar with Lombard. I'm on team Cora, but if Lombard becomes a serious candidate, I will look into him! -
I don't think the Rays have the offense to get it done. If the Dodgers take the lead in a game by about 3 runs, that's ball game.

Exactly. Shifts work more often than not, but I really don't like seeing players playing wherever the manager feels like positioning them. I think there should be certain restrictions, like allowing only 3 outfielders and requiring only 2 infielders on each side of 2nd base.

Mookie is dead to me. Thank you for your contributions with the Red Sox, but his "all about the money" attitude has really turned me off to him. Good for him that he got his money and that he's happy playing in LA. I'm tired of hearing about him and how the Red Sox should have kept him. It's only going to get worse if the Dodgers win. He's becoming Johnny Damon 2.0.

Frazier's UZR/150 in left field this year was -67.8. Just sayin. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Small sample size. But so was his sample size for right field.
