  1. Sometimes what separates players is what's between the ears. Middlebrooks seemed like a guy who wasn't interested in listening to advice or making alterations. Hopefully Chavis is a little smarter than that.
  2. Say it ain't so, man. This site is developing dustballs as it is.
  3. Please elaborate on who and what this is directed at, Nick.
  4. That signing was an ouch. 2 years for $15.5 million, 81 games played and a minus WAR.
  5. Yeah, rough first outing, just like Richards and Houck.
  6. Much better outing for Richards today!
  7. Same thing happened with Mattingly, right?
  8. And a solid outing by Josh Taylor, another COVID victim from last year.
  9. Nice work Eddie! Looking good so far.
  10. And then you responded to the wrong post. Take your time, man!
  11. Now here's sound financial advice from an accountant, folks.
  12. I find that the turnover bothers fans less when it results in more wins, and more when it results in less wins.
  13. Can’t put the excrement back in the equine. Not sure what that has to do with Fred Lynn talking about JBJ and reminiscing about his own outfield experiences, though.
  14. We've pretty much reached the stage of cheering for the laundry. Seriously though, if Verdugo, Renfroe and Cordero have good seasons, and JBJ/Beni have mediocre ones, few Red Sox fans will lament those changes. I'm leaving out Mookie, he's a whole other story.
  15. I know, I was picturing something even wackier LOL
  16. I don't follow all the teams, but the Red Sox, Yankees and Dodgers all seem to have bought into the concept. The Yankees infamously tried it in the postseason, and the Dodgers used it as well.
  17. But it's about the people who have Opening Day tickets, no? If Opening Day gets rained out, those people get their Opening Day game on April 2.
  18. 700hitter and Elktonnick
  19. There you go. A 2B/OF hybrid. Innovative!
  20. But now you have so many 'opener' games and 'bullpen games' and 'starting pitcher gets yanked after twice through the order' games. So you can't really plan as much for matchups.
  21. It's just a marketing thing, making a big deal out of Opening Day.
  22. As best as I can decipher, SG is talking about moving him to DH.
  23. Dalbec strikes again.
  24. No one is talking about getting rid of him. They're talking about moving him to first base or DH.
  25. What does that have to do with Devers's defensive issues?
